Between civilian command resolving upon war and military command executing on that resolve, there should be an intermediate step: military command counterparts meeting in person to hedge risks, examine likely consequences, and protect their troops.

Military commanders are like cats in that they know that damage will be done to each of them even if one of them is victorious in a fight. Civilian commanders do not know those things. Military commanders know these things because they must accept lethal risk and suffer significant injury whether or not they win in battle or war.

Civilian command rarely face risk or injury
because military command protect them.

Let the cats talk, the ones who have to do the fighting, to decide whether or not they want to commence an argument in which both are sure to be wounded and one or both of them lethally. Military command should not pay the price for civilian command’s stupidity, cupidity, ignorance, or malice.

A meta-benefit of this protocol would be that military commanders, unlike now, would be incentivized to pay attention to the flux of stereo-strategic conditions and opportunities rather than polish their laurels, call little things like stockpiling ammunition big things like preparedness, and await instructions. Military command should be ready to brief patent and latent stereo-strategic facts and opportunities when their counsel is sought by civilian command. They would not, as now, preen, mutter, and relay civilian orders down their chains of command to subordinates who themselves likely are ignorant of conditions and opportunities percolating at battle spaces in which they now must execute.

For example, if the Russian Pacific Fleet wish to conduct battle drills off the west coast of Hawaii, why not invite them into Pearl Harbor for a port visit, R&R, and provisioning? I believe the key to checking Communist Chinese (CCP) imperialism is their own Belt And Road Initiative (BRI). BRI, as is known, is a joint commercial / military endeavor with aims to seize commerce for and strangle resistance to CCP domination globe-wide. War is logistics. BRI is war and logistics all wrapped into one grand project.

I can think of three ways to use BRI against its CCP creator-perpetrators. Surely there are others. At least these three deserve immediate, simultaneous effect. Their tenor is to swarm junctures and flanks of BRI with a multi-nation network — galaxy, garden, necklace, forest, take your pick of metaphor — of battalion task forces (BN-TFs) operating multi-domain and each owned by a happy country eager to protect herself. This swarm or network of BN-TFs comprises a reconnaissance-in-force that:

passively deters CCP’s hegemonic reach by its presence,

actively trains up intel and interoperability to cultivate network readiness and reliability, and

actively prepares preliminaries and follow-ons to eliminate CCP altogether, such as,

surge its elements to locations of opportunity,
accommodate surges from home countries,
demand reliable, skilled, non-ideological, and experienced headquarters staffs, commanders, and NCOs.

One way to use BRI against its CCP creator-perpetrators: let them send forth their military-commercial tentacles, covered as they are with suckers, then lop them off at their roots, near or on CCP homeland itself as well as at their myriad front organizations abroad. Czar Alexander I’s generals and then Stalin’s executed this grand strategy against The German [Frankish] Army. Their strategy in both cases contemplated defense in depth: (1) trade land for time, (2) exploit the severity of Russia’s weather, and (3) rely on the paucity and usability of Russian roads to slow Frankish deployment and stress their logistics.

With respect to Communist China, defense in depth includes: (1) protect communications which grow prosperities in small countries world-wide, (2) garrison flanks of BRI corridors with multi-nation BN-TFs operating multi-domain, (3) make public CCP’s commercial and military vulnerabilities — including especially their spiritual atrocities, their anti-religion and relish of murder, their mindless savagery towards nature — and (4) scrap the entire Five Eyes intelligence apparat — they are a CCP front — in favor of a fresh Three+Two Eyes intelligence system (India, USA, Russia plus Japan and Egypt).

A second way to use BRI against its CCP creator-perpetrators: build out a fair, reliable, globally-accessible communications network. Out compete the bastards. Pacific Pathways project contemplates this endeavor and more.

Chinese historically and CCP modernly rely on slave labor and eco-destruction for commercial gain. Any network CCP build, such as BRI, is a closed system, for their benefit only, and by definition purely extractive. Show the nations, by building out a user-friendly trading system, that commercial success is possible without indenturing oneself and one’s grandchildren to a bully, without recourse to the filth of a closed system and slave labor, and without thrashing nature into a wasteland. Demonstrate the benefits of catholicity and love of grace. The nations are not obliged to accept CCP’s terms of commerce.

The splendid contributions to civilization by early Microsoft, Linus Torvalds, and Open Source Software engineers is that they gave universal access to reliable operating systems and applications that galaxies of developers, manufacturers, and merchants could build out to earn a living on their own, independently. These are cyberspace counterparts of safely and freely-accessible highways and trade routes.

With respect to Communist China, the nations, through entrepreneurs — and governments who protect them — can build, maintain, and defend a fresh system of global comms that are universally available, user-friendly, space-and land-based, low-cost, and non-invasive. This is occurring.

The nations also can refuse entry to CCP commercial vehicles on the grounds that (1) they use and / or transport produce of slave labor and (2) CCP engage in pan-optic destruction of nature at home and abroad. Furthermore, the nations can prosecute and punish their own citizens who trade in CCP’s slave labor-and eco-killing output. Let Americans prosecute and punish American so-called businessmen, politicians, and bureaucrats who use slavery, directly or indirectly, and / or eco-killing, to puff up their personal and corporate balance sheets.

A third way to use BRI against its CCP creator-perpetrators is a typically American stereo-strategic and tactical choice: get there first, or as Americans might put it, git thar fustest wi’ the mustest.

Like the Imperial Japanese Army before them, CCP want to own islands east, north, and south into the Pacific Ocean, occupation of which moves their eastern defense littoral towards [and then onto] the western coast of the Americas, all of them. This would make the Pacific Ocean a CCP rental property from which they can extract income by controlling comms. CCP also want to own landmasses between Peking and Beirut and between Hanoi and Mombasa. For starters.

As did Lee against Grant’s Overland Campaign and MacArthur against the Imperial Japanese Army’s Asia-Pacific campaign — and as Jackson would have done at Gettysburg’s Little Round Top — the idea here is: occupy and / or flank junctures and pathways of BRI before CCP can fill them up and own them.

Even where BRI appears ensconced, that is but appearance. Wherever they are, whatever they are doing, BRI minions — and therefore BRI itself and its CCP creator-perpetrators — are susceptible to attack in flank and rear. The grand model for this action is MacArthur’s landing at Inchon. An additional model, although not as clearly so, is operations by First and Third U.S. Armies at Bastogne in 1944.

A network BN-TF positioned at Palau — a nation friendly to America — would implement the stereo-strategic concept of get there first. This would deter CCP hegemonic ambitions. Palau threatens Guam and Hawaii, or, going the other direction, Shanghai and CCP’s Nine-Dash Line.

A network BN-TF positioned at Rabaul would further deter CCP ambitions. Rabaul threatens CCP’s southeastern trajectory to Australia and New Zealand as well as their southwestern trajectory to Singapore and Makassar.

Japanese Imperial General Staff knew the stereo-strategic value of Palau and Rabaul. They acted accordingly, for their interests.

An American re-basing at Subic Bay, Philippines — or at least deterrence of CCP basing there — is strongly indicated. Subic Bay is inside CCP’s current conception of their eastern defense littoral and a precious pre-op to them for taking Guam, Midway, some of the Aleutians, and Hawaii. Subic Bay is a better launch point against Hawaii — CCP’s proximate objective in the Pacific — than is Taiwan. I estimate CCP would launch for Subic Bay, Palau, Rabaul, Okinawa, and Guam and then simply starve Taiwan into extinction.

Thus, at least three ways to use BRI against its CCP creator-perpetrators. That CIA / CCP Junta occupying the Oval Office at the time of this writing move in the opposite direction — to surrender Americans’ and other nations’ sovereignties to Chinese Communists, Euro-American Socialists, and Salafi-Shiite Jihadis, and to consign Americans’ and other nations’ happinesses to poverty — is not germane to national stereo-strategic discussion at this time. Those forces lack legitimacy and therefore power to persist, based as they are on lies, cheating, and theft. That God permits them space to operate is His business. I know not the reason for it. He does, and I am sure He knows and does what is best for us. Our duty is to think through — and to the extent we are able, execute on — what should be done by way of American statecraft to cultivate America’s and Americans’ personal and national sovereign freedom.

Governments really need to get a grip on their ego-inflamed businessmen and professors. Governments should incentivize selfless service and punish any who push private interests against organic communities, as do, for example, drug producers and traffickers . . . while enjoying political and judicial cover, which is to say, being government-sponsored private enterprise.

Governments exist to protect equal opportunity but not to promote it. Governments exist to protect economic growth but not to initiate it. Government by private interest is anarchy, not government. To any who say government needs to do this or that on behalf of this or that private interest, government should respond, “You want it, you do it.” Government protects organic communities — all of them — operating inside its jurisdiction. Governments who promote and protect private interests are a species of violence, no government at all.

Government’s responsibility is negative and reactive, not positive and pro-active. Government is a feminine activity, not a masculine one, and one most calmly and capably conducted by men rather than women.

An organic community is its own central interest. Everyone is happy when they do not have to leave their community in order to fulfill their life’s purpose. An organic community is one which has within itself everything needful for each of its members. Organic communities within a nation are the vectors of life which should marshal and control national affairs.

Private interests have no standing in national affairs. They have standing in community affairs only so long as they abide the balance of all forces required to keep an organic community whole and organic. A private interest operating against the balance of forces upholding an organic community deserves the most prompt and prejudicial treatment.

for human life both personal and congregational.

the watchword of this Era is
PROTECTION for organic communities
through deterrence of monopolistic ambitions.

This is a spiritual exercise for the nations and their leaders.

Though they cleanse the mind and foster renunciation, they yield the best results, only when they have as their goal the attainment of world peace and world prosperity. Karma then becomes Karma-yoga, karma inspired by unselfish ideals. All acts undertaken by persons after surrendering their wills and wants to the Lord become so holy and so pure that their actions do not bind anyone, either by the iron chain of misery or the golden chain of exultation.
