When Sharia Code meets the fate of Bushido Code, there will be quiet.
That is what it is going to take.
That is what Americans want.
NSC/White House says, respecting Islam, that Americans fight an ideology, not a religion.
That, as it happens, is essentially correct. And I am sure NSC/White House even recognize, at least personally and secretly, what that ideology is: Sharia Code. But they reject best practice solving the problem Sharia Code presents:
1) Acknowledge the problem exists.
2) Accept some (or all) ownership of the problem.
3) Decide that something should be (or must be) done to solve the problem.
4) Plan to solve the problem.
5) Execute the plan.
6) Reiterate 4 and 5 until the problem is solved.
7) 1 thru 3 are most important.
NSC/White House is unwilling to solve the problem Sharia Code presents. It is unwilling to strangle the ideology of Sharia Code. Americans, however, are willing to strangle it when pointed in the right direction(s) supported by intelligent, American leadership, which is to say, Americans not terrorized by Muslim Brotherhood, other Salafists or Iranian prelates, with whom, for the nonce, Muslim Brotherhood allies.
NSC/White House also says, respecting Islam, that Americans have to fight [bad] ideology with their own [good] ideology, not their military assets and not even the full spectrum of their diplomatic and financial assets. Observing that although NSC/White House does use — timidly, tumultuously, fitfully and with hyper-micro-management — those three tools of statecraft (and here) against some ideology, there are three faults in NSC/White House posture, each fatal to it.
First, no ideology, ever, has succumbed to good example. Full-spectrum diplomatic, financial and military warfare only can defeat an ideology.
Robert Oppenheimer — who guided American development of nuclear weapons on behalf of the Soviet Union — argued subsequent to use of the weapon he developed — and after the Soviet Union had from Oppenheimer and others everything they needed to produce their own nuclear arms — that by renouncing nuclear weapons unilaterally America would set a good example and in consequence the Soviet Union also would abjure nuclear arms.
Second, there is no good ideology. Ideology per se is partial and that means fractious and faction is debilitating. Ideology is a synonym for tragedy. QED: parallel to the ideology known as Sharia Code, the ideologies known as the global community and the global economy, also, are savage slave supermarkets and true tragedy trumps. Ditto global governance, which is properly regarded as a brain-eating spiritual disease.
Third, America rests on the responsibility of government to protect the inalienable human rights of citizens, as specified in Her founding documents, not on ideology. Only ideologues think America is an ideology.
So, that argument that bad ideology must be met with good ideology, as it happens, is essentially incorrect. And I am sure NSC/White House know that it is, just as Robert Oppenheimer knew the Soviet Union had no intention of foregoing nuclear weapons but would be delighted for the United States to do that.
In treating of the ideology Sharia Code, there is parallelism with the nature and destiny of the Japanese Bushido Code that drove the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere and the attack of the Japanese Imperial General Staff against Pearl Harbor. The Japanese Imperial Navy was tepid at best to the idea of attacking America but the Japanese Imperial Army, suicidally, was for it. Both branches were driven by Bushido Code. WWII in the Pacific was to strangle Bushido Code. (In Europe it was to strangle Pan-Germanic Code.) It was followed through — unconditional surrender, a truly good, fecund example made — and Bushido Code died, not to be resurrected. Far more sloppily, stupidly and, of first importance, incompletely — not to unconditional surrender, which would have buried it, but to uneasy and delusional stasis — Soviet Code was only partially strangled by Reagan and Bush Administrations. Today, Americans, Russians and residents of the Intermarium — and many others — live in consequences of that failure.
As with Bushido Code, Pan-Germanic Code and Soviet Code, complete strangulation — unconditional surrender — is required in re Sharia Code. Ideologies deserve that destiny only. Sharia Code is a much larger presence, by number of adherents, compared to those other ideologies, but it comprises essentially the same problem requiring essentially the same solution. Its technology-development abilities, however, register near zero compared to those of those other ideologies. Just a question of will and engineering, therefore.
What is Sharia Code? It is a fusion of secular and religious life under a demand to enforce that fusion upon all peoples everywhere whether they want it or not. It has two aspects that reinforce one another. One aspect is the fusion of secular and religious life. The other aspect is the demand, pronounced divine, to enforce that fusion to the exclusion of any other way of living everywhere on the planet. A fusion of secular and religious life makes violation of sacerdotal norms a civil offense and vice versa. Practically and historically, this fusion makes the strongest tyranny known to man. Her Framers meant to exclude it from America. The demand — pronounced divine in Sharia Code founding documents — to enforce the fusion of secular and religious life universally conjures language, acts and consequences called by Sharia Code, and known as, jihad.
Her Framers and their sons and daughters already rejected Sharia Code jihad in the Mediterranean Sea at America’s early years. Islam — specifically Salafist Puritanism — indeed has contributed to America from Her founding … by forcing Her strength diplomatically, financially and militarily (1) to reject Sharia Code, (2) to condemn the fusion of secular and sacerdotal power and (3) to hold at bay, at least, Sharia Code’s continuous warfare (jihad) on behalf of itself.
Now it is time to defeat Sharia Code, because, like every ideology — and unlike the Spirit of America — Sharia Code explicitly drives its partisans to unending discontent. They cannot mingle in peaceful company or quiet thoroughfares and homes. Like the Frankfurt School (and here), their ideology weaponizes losers to sally forth and fix the world — tikkun olam — by destroying it.
To start, first eliminate Sharia Code on USA territory. Then, convince USA’s friends (e.g., EU and member states … and actually all of these excepting Poland are enemies of the USA, having been since 1620) to strangle Sharia Code on their territories. To do that, use the three tools of statecraft (and here): diplomacy, finance and war fighting. Thus, for example, to EU in Brussels, Great Britain, France and Germany:
OK, boys and girls, until Sharia Code is dead on your territories and your budget expenditures at least equal your NATO obligations — and these hurts can be calibrated to suit the need — no more visas for your people, no more money transfers, no more weapons, parts or support sales, no more real estate purchases, no more scholar visits, no more US support through UN, USAID, OECD, IMF and World Bank, no more intel sharing, no more junkets on the CIA’s dime, etc. And lots of other hurts can be devised, on the calibration principle, to reach the stated goal: you Europeans strangle Sharia Code on your territories.
Then, make a few abrupt and vivid examples of strangling Sharia Code on regions of its origin.
Focus on strangling Sharia Code has this strongly to commend it: it sweeps away the utterly superficial and cunningly misdirecting distinction between Sunni and Shiia Islam. Both derive from Sharia Code. Disagreement is over details of execution only. Sharia Code inspires both, just as Bushido Code inspired both Japanese Imperial Navy and Army, though they differed on details of execution. Strangle Sharia Code and Sunni-Shiia conflict ceases to exist. You have cut off its oxygen. Now you have just one target, not two: Sharia Code. Simplifies everything.
Related: There is only one distinction in the USA demographic. It is between Americans and Anti-Americans. Patriots and Fascists. Religion, politics, wealth, race, gender, ethnicity, conservative, libertarian, liberal, progressive, Republican, Democrat, Independent, blaaaaah, blaaaaah, blaaaaah, ad nauseam, have nothing to do with anything important or needful. All are immaterial distinctions, pure misdirection.
Do you believe American citizens can be trusted, and must be trusted, as their Constitution guarantees them, to make their own decisions about how to lead their lives? If you do, you are an American (Patriot). If you do not, you are an Anti-American (Fascist). That is the only possible difference between individuals residing in the USA. And Anti-Americans (Fascists) merit confinement or expulsion.
An American sees some one or some group — i.e., Anti-American(s)/Fascists — harm America or Americans and their only thought is to give that individual or group to understand irrevocably that that is not something they want to do, or will be allowed to do, again. Period and smiley face.
OK Muslims, you can be Muslims without Sharia Code. Americans know you can. Deal with it, learn to do it, because Americans will settle for nothing less from you. And Americans remain and always will be in charge of America. Trust us.
OK Fascists — academics, clergy, politicians, corporation officers and directors, government bureaucrats, union officers and members — you can be successful Americans without Post-National Global Governance Code … by which you mean stealing others’ wealth. Americans know you can. Deal with it, learn to do it, because Americans will settle for nothing less from you. And Americans remain and always will be in charge of America. Trust us.

Several New Testament parables are used, since decades, to equate Christianity with Communism. Virtually the entire “mainline denomination” leadership, to include now Roman Catholics, concurs at least in principle with that equation. Thus the pews empty out, which, remarkably, convinces that leadership to embrace leftist manners and language more tightly: cut loose by God, let’s be saved by politics.
Christianity brightly distinguishes the realm of civil authority and law from the realm of religious authority, which transcends civil authority and law and has no law of its own. Each realm has its utility, powers and necessity (“Give unto Caesar….”) and neither has authority to control or dominate the other.
The relationship between religion and science is the same. They are about different matters entirely, without intersection, confirmation or conflict. Like civil authority and religious authority, however, they are parallel, indomitable vectors of human experience and history.
Update 24: A side-point on this post: is it really true that Iran is the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism, aka global Islamic hegemony by every means available? This statement is repeated again and again, seemingly everywhere, by everyone. Is it true? I do not know, but I suspect it is not true, and have no way to validate my suspicion.
I suspect al Saud is the world’s largest state sponsor of global Islamic hegemony (Caliphism), at least if large is taken to indicate monies spent and time-in-grade.
For example, who pays for the Islamic Centers, Islamic propaganda/information circulars/curricula and Islamic Studies Departments at … how many primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities around the globe? Who pays for the Islamic prison ministries in virtually every country not officially Islamic? Who pays for the madrassas in Pakistan, Afghanistan and elsewhere? Who is trying to bankrupt some countries while funding others as well as supposedly non-state actors?
Who fills the world’s media with continuous cascades of sanctimonious double-talk to justify global Islamic hegemony?
If my suspicion regarding the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism is correct, then a one-eyed laser-focus on Iran as the primary enemy of the USA in the ME flouts Von Clausewitz’ first rule of war, does it not?
Finally — and of this I am certain: in the ME, it is deeply and widely held as fundamental truth that the State of Israel birthed ISIS — which in the ME is deeply and widely hated by the generality — to cripple Arab freedom, independence and self-determination.
