In contrast, from the theological point of view, Fascism is an apostasy of Christianity, making it an apostate religion, also something very dangerous, as evidence confirms.

Fascism and Communism are species of Socialism but their etiological differences are consequential both in themselves and in how their adherents are treated.

The difference between a heresy and an apostasy is slight in the result but significant in the method of and approach to each. Thus, it is a material difference that, in ideal conditions, should be creatively consequential in the answering to either.

For the record, this theologian assesses what Codevilla calls the ruling class as fascist, not communist. Taking it so fosters accurate anticipation of its moves and generation of controlling response.

The charge matters. It has to be of something as strong as treason and not as weak as dereliction, even “purposeful dereliction.” There is no dereliction here. There is deliberation. Straight up treason. Treason is the substance of the intended and clearly-stated “fundamental transformation.” The deliberation was clearly announced at the commencement. Dereliction would be what Billy Mitchell meant when he said “[The accidents] are due to incompetence, criminal negligence and an almost treasonable administration of our national defense by the Navy and the War Departments.” We are seeing deliberate non-administration and over-administration, at the same time, against the security of the United States. By straight up fascists. Until the charge reflects that — treason — this is all just talk.

Update III: Political correctness is disinformation (dezinformatsiya) (and here) to camouflage truth.  It descends from operations Cheka and its successors call aktivni meropriyatiya (Активные мероприятия, active measures).  From the phrase Latinate media take the designation activist.  An activist to them is a saint.  More political correctness.  A dissident, by contrast, as per Cheka indoctrination, is an enemy of the state/media — in which reposes ultimate authority — suitable for torture and execution.

Update 8: Is there a socialist/fascist government that has ceased to exist and been replaced with humane government of some sort without the application, from external source(s), of diplomatic, financial and/or military warfare?  Fascist propaganda has made Americans allergic to just the thought of war … all the better for fascists to rule them.  Perhaps it’s time to treat that thought as the pathogen it is.

Update 9: A statement regarding equating Christianity with Communism:

Several New Testament parables are used, since decades, to equate Christianity with Communism. Virtually the entire “mainline denomination” leadership, to include now Roman Catholics, concurs at least in principle with that equation. Thus the pews empty out, which, remarkably, convinces that leadership to embrace leftist manners and language more tightly: cut loose by God, let’s be saved by politics.

Christianity brightly distinguishes the realm of civil authority and law from the realm of religious authority, which transcends civil authority and law and has no law of its own. Each realm has its utility, powers and necessity (“Give unto Caesar….”) and neither has authority to control or dominate the other.

The relationship between religion and science is the same. They are about different matters entirely, without intersection, confirmation or conflict. Like civil authority and religious authority, however, they are parallel, indomitable vectors of human experience and history.
