Who Is Man?

RAMANAM
In the Name of The Father, and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit, Amen.

Countrymen,

Man is not a marketplace.  He is a creature with a homing-instinct.  For God.  It is the way he is built.  Not really a choice.  Man fights to get home, to reach God, because he knows, unconsciously usually, that that home is who he, man, is.  Expansion, grandeur, freedom is who he is.

God is not out there.  He is in man’s heart, driving man to be himself, to go home, to come home, to be home and in that way to be ultimately happy.  The freedom man seeks and treasures is the freedom that is God.  Freedom is God.  God is freedom.

Man’s true nature — the one he feels fully good about, and the only one he really is — is exactly that.  He is It.  It is He.

There was a German Theologian named Oetinger who said, I think truly — and this is what The Church long has meant by the language of the Nicene Creed — that the end of the ways of God is corporeality.  By implication, reversing track back up those ways is going home to God in corporeality.

Warriors have a better grasp of this reality, since their experience of it is direct, than most others do.
