Jesus as the Christ brought regeneration, something new, not revolution, overturning the old. The old He abandoned to self-destruction, the most loving thing to do for it. His focus was a new being, new wineskins. It is called The Church, whose contemporary form is more corporeal than arboreal or petroeal/lithoreal — i.e., new, again — and therefore less visible to eyes and ears deformed by negative emotions.
Meaning, one does not have a fair society without a theological root. And in any case fairness is not a concern of revolutionaries. So the old, the churches made of wood and rock/stone, are flooded with revolutionaries and dim-witted habit, and abandoned to self-destruction. And those churches’ main cultural creation — the system of education, as evident at Evergreen State College — is to the same end consigned.
This pattern of events was visible to this observer in the mid 1960s and to others well before that.
The news is the new, corporeal Church that is building culture, not the old, arboreal and petroeal/lithoreal churches/schools that are self-destructing without possibility of process reversal.
This difference between regeneration and revolution has been on my mind. Christianity is not revolutionary, never even gives revolution a thought except to condemn and then ignore it. Communists, Socialists, Progressives, Fascists are revolutionaries. Christianity, as any one of them will tell you, and truthfully, is their enemy. Love regenerates. It does not revolt. Truth is quiet and reactive. It is not an activist.

Update 2: I have voted, voting against every female on our ballot unless she was a Republican. I am fed up with female fears and angers diminishing the processes of government. Protecting women and encouraging them to bring forth their inner necessity, to be strong for the enrichment of their families and communities, I warmly approve. Their propensity for needless, mindless, bathetic drama no matter the costs I reprobate and note as disqualifying the great majority of women from high national responsibility.
Update 3: Don’t laugh, Ed. You should know better. This goes back to Parmenides and Pythagoras. And father back in India. And forward in Teilhard and even Tillich. Modern morons may put a political spin on it — rocks have rights — but the awareness of the corporeality of stages of awareness as well as the integral nature of nature from rocks to reason is very ancient and accurate. Never ridicule or gloat, not at anything, not about anything. It is unbecoming.

In these conditions, we do what we see is our duty as God gives us light to see that duty and leave the consequences to Him.
