Today, not even CCP-controlled CIA, who control these four companies, are willing to be occupied by CCP. I’m done with all professional sports. They used to provide a respite from politics (other than plain old patriotism, back we we all sort of agreed with that) and the “real” world. They no longer offer that, so I don’t go there, neither the ballpark, or the television. I did unfortunately buy a ticket from Delta for a flight from NY to Denver in June about a week before Delta went woke. And naturally I didn’t buy the cancellation option. Does anybody have any ideas other than me losing my money out of principle? I’ve thought about wearing a “Delta Sucks” t shirt or sticker when I board the flight, but that’s all I’ve come up with. I would like to make a statement of some kind so I’m open to suggestions.

Without insisting on anything, simply say what you think about this to a Delta employee, in person, kindly but downrightly, and leave it at that. You have spoken the truth. No more can be asked of you.

Repeat in any circumstance which strikes you as either right or wrong. Straight up, calmly, kindly, to their face, as simply worded as possible, and insist on nothing.

No one has power greater than that of truth directly spoken to another person. You have that power, you can do it, you were born with that power, use it simply, directly, kindly — and never insist on anything. The word person means active principle of divinity.

Why is so much content on Instapundit simply response to garbage? Nothing more elevating than that? We have to learn that garbage is garbage? How many hours a day do Instapundit posters spend at garbage dumps collecting material about which to hiss and moan?

And two or more posters hiss and moan about the same item of garbage? That means those posters rely on the garbage dump’s own daily news cycle for their content. Then hiss and moan at the same garbage they use for content?!?

That lack of self-awareness, if I may say so, is sick. On any day, look at the main conservative media and they all talk about the same thing, which is the same thing that exercises the garbage dump (liberal media) that day. In other words, liberals and conservatives are living out of the same liberal garbage dump. Reviling the one is no better than reveling in the other.

Reynolds is best at presenting things to enlighten and uplift. One spends much time now just scrolling past garbage thrown up by Driscoll, Hoyt, and Bernstein to reach posts worth perusing.

The third qualification (apart from viveka and vairagya), for yearning to know Brahman consists of six virtues: mind control, body and sense control, withdrawal from sensory objects, forbearance, unwavering faith, and equanimity (sama, dama, uparati, titiksha, sraddha, and sama-dana). Mind control (sama) is very hard to attain. The mind can cause bondage, but it can also confer liberation. It is an amalgam of passionate (rajasic) and ignorant (tamasic) attitudes. It is easily polluted. It relishes in hiding the real nature of things and casting on them forms and values that it desires. So, activities of the mind must be regulated. The mind has two characteristics. First, it runs helplessly after the senses. Whichever sense the mind follows, it is inviting disaster. When a pot of water becomes empty, we need not infer that it has leaked away through ten holes; one hole is enough to empty it. So too, even if one sense is not under control, one will be thrown into bondage. Therefore, every sense must be mastered to achieve mind control!
