The terms liberal and conservative have the declamatory puissance of a rabbit addressing an elk convention.
Military, diplomatic and financial assets are useless without guidance from a rational grand national strategic objective (RGNSO), of which there is none. And an RGNSO lacking grasp of the theological component of statecraft is irrational and worse than useless.
The lack of an RGNSO is the root of our sense of purposelessness and hopelessness. There has not been one since JFK was removed from office.
One hoped Team Trump would produce one. They have not. And John Bolton will not.
The Continuing Resolution (aka Omnibus Spending Bill) demonstrates that governance in D.C. is a question of who drags the most dollars through the Capitol. Just as the daily headlines are a question of what Media Matters declares them to be. Currently, Brits, ChiComs and Salafis (e.g., Moslem Brotherhood) run Congress, most of the Judiciary and much of the Executive.
Forget conservative and liberal, irrelevant concepts absolutely. Try moral courage or not. Fidelity to voters or not. Loyalty to USA sovereignty or not.
Power Line’s favorite for Republican Nominee in 2016 was Marco Rubio. Marco Rubio voted for this monstrosity CR.

We are faced with a party that is unwilling or uninterested in supporting the President and public that voted for him. And then we have to deal with the Democrats as well.
I responded:
Correct, time for a second, competing party in D.C. and it so happens the portion of the electorate who elected POTUS Trump is the opportunity for assembling just that. With luck Team Trump grabs the opportunity and pushes it forward on all cylinders.
Two maps that illustrate the point.
My question, given all these [unsustainable] deployments, is: And this is going … where?
Central problem — and the real reason for today’s budget theft/pig-out — is that USA, to include Trump Administration, has no stated and agreed USA grand national strategic objective, not for any part of the world, including North America. And, the discussion remains in terms of national security — an impossibility, an unreality: there in no security in life, only opportunity — rather than national sovereignty, which has substance and force.
We are feeling the purposelessness, not the money, in this monstrous CR. The purposelessness, as illustrated by the money and, more importantly, morale, that is this inane and insane deferral to foreign interests — mainly Moslem Brotherhood, ChiCom and British — by representatives voted in by USA citizens but purchased by those foreign interests.
Purposelessness and helplessness.
Why do we need a military at all if even foreigners can drag a dollar bill through the US Capitol and collect a steaming claque sufficiently large to enact their wishes, which are to loot USA national and personal treasure? Exactly whom are these carriers and submarines protecting, anyhow? Why should Americans have to pay for US air and ground to serve as Iranian forward artillery? Or arm and train AQ franchises who become ISIL franchises? Or protect Germans who cede the German Army to the Salafist Army to attack Poland and Russia … again?
That powerlessness.
The fault is in not specifying a reasonable USA grand national strategic objective (RGNSO), and secondarily, not defining interests to pursue in light of that objective. The ship of state has no guidance system without that navigational aide, an RGNSO. And reasonable means, structured, trained and minimally deployed to guarantee USA national sovereignty.
D-R UniParty treats USA national sovereignty as a dirty word! Use the phrase in D.C. and be taken for a psycho-sociopath.
That purposelessness.
Funding the military — or any aspect of the USG — is wrong fundamentally if not directed single-mindedly at sustaining USA national sovereignty. This CR/Omnibus has no such focus, does not contemplate one, and is therefore an anti-American act.
USA economic policy cannot substitute for rational, reasonable grand national strategic objective (RGNSO). Economic policy is subsumed in RGNSO. If RGNSO is not present — and this CR demonstrates its long-standing absence — economic policy is mere flailing inside the typhoons of life.
That purposelessness.
I am a superannuated nobody out in nowhere. Let it be written that, at my own expense, and for years, I have alerted and cried the lack of USA RGNSO, to include not infrequently at Team Trump, and since before they were elected. I saw this CR/Omnibus coming and presented what would have prevented it, a simple remedy known to statecraft since states happened: the RGNSO.
That helplessness.
The D-R UniParty/Deep State is anti-American and, fortunately, stupid. Therein lies opportunity.
In my obervation, the D-R UniParty is effective so far as it goes but also stupid. Their stupid contains opportunities, exorables.
Follow the Master. Face the Devil. Fight to the end. Finish the game.

I want my Congressman to start spending money on more shooting ranges in my state. I want my Congressman to get a subsidy for ammunition purchases for middle class taxpayers. I want a government check for motorcycle accessory purchases during the summer months and the winter months and the spring months and maybe even the autumn months. I don’t want to be greedy I’m just trying to be fair. Middle Class workers vacation subsidies now!! The rich get their subsidies, the poor get their subsidies, well hell, the middle class wants theirs too!
I responded:
Why not? I would like my kids paid whatever it takes to purchase the home they would like and the taxes on it for as long as they want to keep it. Peace and justice. I’d like a chauffeured limo at instant access for my wife and me. Tall inside, so we need not stoop to enter. And I would like the public schools shut down and razed for pasture lands. And hospitals, churches, synagogues, temples and mosques to the same fate. And drug dealers summarily shot along with Jihadis. And clergy and public school teachers turned out to earn an honest living. And doctors paid to conduct private practices free of malpractice suits except where there is evidence of malice. And trial lawyers forced to register as predators. And divorce disallowed except for domestic violence. And anti-patriotic professors hauled before the bar for sedition.
Can our representatives do all this and cannot keep position? Tut, were it farther off they’d plead contrition.
