Globalism is a desire of the few to rule the many.
Patriotism is a desire of the many to govern themselves.
Globalism is a newish name for an ages-old desire of the few to rule the many. Patriotism is an ancient name for an ages-old desire of the many to govern themselves.
That is the point, is it not? Yes, the USA walks away from the few wanting to subject her to their crotchets, their hooks. Gladly, in fact, head held high, and not looking back.
Macron says, ” … our children ….” But Macron has no children and never will have children. (Neither do nor will the current leaders of Great Britain, Scotland, The Netherlands, Sweden, Italy and Germany.) He is a childless man, barren, which is to say, for a man of his circumstances, no man at all. And he presumes to lecture us? He can piss up a rope then swank back to his cougar.
Political philosophy has not been taught in core curricula in American schools for decades. The classical literature on the subject, starting at least with Socrates, Plato and Augustine, is virtually unknown to moderns. No wonder swarms of Americans are prone to acting against their self-interest and their mother country’s welfare. No wonder they succumb to subversion by propaganda, rendering them incapable of telling the difference between what is good for them and what is bad for them, between truth and lies … and unable to defend themselves.
The concept of duality, of necessary opposition (Heraclitus), is not taught to them. In consequence, they meet with panicked stupor or stupid panic — and much wailing and gnashing of teeth — the immovable, irreducible ironies of life.
Political philosophy has a theological component — where does authority reside? — which partly accounts for its absence in American academic curricula, which now are responsive exclusively to Socialist (PC) ideology, which now also includes Salafist ideology. A double dose of poison. Who can blame the children of that regime? Blame their parents and teachers, not the children they ruined.
But blame is not helping anything. This is: ” … And I Will Give You Rest.”
Remember this as Lesson 1 of Political Philosophy 101: Globalism is a newish name for an ages-old desire of the few to rule the many. Patriotism is an ancient name for an ages-old desire of the many to govern themselves.
Patriots are loyal to their mother country. Globalists are loyal to themselves. This all goes straight to the question of authority. Political philosophy is about that, about where authority resides. And that makes political philosophy and theology kissing cousins, as St. Augustine demonstrated.

That is why I kept predicting Ds would run Michelle. That is also why I never believed White House prattle that they supported HRC. Also why I believe Comey’s public reopening of the HRC investigation was to support Trump in preparation for the future (2020) run of Michelle. White House/Comey assumed a POTUS Trump could be removed from office — by rivers of leaks — Pence cowed or removed and Ryan brought up. D-R UniParty in action. Trillions are at stake … for them, not for country or electorate.
If that construction is accurate, it means UniParty really did not want Hillary, only principled conservatives did. An irony.
Ron Radosh illustrates the so-called principled conservative.
Mr. Radosh lists reasons POTUS Trump is bad for Europe and America. But to me, his list reads like reasons Americans should consider Germany and the EU not allies at all. Mr. Radosh does not mention Germans fleecing Americans via trade shenanigans.
The entire world is restructuring and this is not 1945 or 1991. An alliance of three brother nations will emerge as dominant force holding the other nations in dynamic regularity: USA, India, Russia.
But now, I am starting to hope that her threats to run in 2020 are for real!

They are, but her performance in CA yesterday put the last nail in the coffin for that hope of hers. The D-R UniParty, at the moment, is for Michelle in 2020. I should not hope for that one to materialize. She is a potent presence, an aura of menace. Aretha Franklin or Leontyne Price without the sense of humor or gracious refinement.
Update 2: Let The Hysteria Begin
The one by Wired is my favorite because it specifies the plan that just got upended: a few desire to rule the many — Globalism — whereas the many desire to govern themselves — Patriotism.
Update 3: Again they lied. Paris Accord was about wealth — handing USA’s to Europe — not climate.
