An operational observation: CAIR, a Moslem Brotherhood front via another of the Brotherhood’s fronts, Hamas, has mobilized many thousands of their troops in streets and buildings in numerous USA locations on less than 12 hours’ notice. And they have commanded the MSM into the bargain. Those accomplishments deserve appreciation of a military kind.
Do Americans have a comparable or more capable capacity among their civilian cohort?

I’m starting to think Trump really is a one-person wrecking crew for the left delivered by divine Providence.
That is one way to look at it. Not untrue, but not, I think, categorically true. I would phrase it this way: DJT really is a remover of obstacles in the path of American labor and industry, zeal and skill. He is venting the valve on the boiler so the steam can be made useful.
Providential, yes, but so, to be consistent, one must say, with the Hebrew Prophets, was the leftist evil, the smashing together, the spitting restraint, we have endured for decades.
Using Vedic iconography, I will suggest the specific face of Providence DJT incarnates: Ganesha. The Christian correlate of Ganesha is the Congregation of Saints, pick your favorite.
Enthusiasm for God is easy when the tit is wet. Not so much when the tit is dry. God is the same in both conditions. Man does not live by wet alone.

It has to be parsed carefully, but yes, overall, Israel is not an ally of the USA. She is a sovereign nation state whose status as such USA supports and should support. A trading partner. A cultural exchange partner. Intelligence and defense sharer. Some strategic commonalities. Etc.
But an ally, meaning one to whom one’s welfare is as signal to them as is their own to themselves? Never has been and never will be. USS Liberty and Jonathan Pollard are not one-off events.
Israel does not consider USA an ally, nor should She. Friendly we are, but not an ally of Israel. Nearest we are to being an ally of a MENA nation state is with Iraq and Egypt.
Americans love a fighter and Israel is a fighter. So, good. Americans are happy to see Israelis winning their fights. And why not? That does not make Israel a USA ally. She is not one such and never will be, never can be.
I am expecting a sharp rise in the number of American newborns today nine-month and fervently hope that blessed produce persists. With cities to pillage and windows to smash,

The evil Putin meme is by people who fear and envy Christianity, i.e., Socialists/Salafists. Putin and Russians are strong-minded patriots, as well they should be. As such, they prefer facing equally strong-minded patriots. The blessing of Christianity, in its Latin and Greek formations, is hard, strong minds, soft, open hearts and skilled, swift hands. Persons and groups in possession of those bounties do not fear life and do not forget death. And they envy no one.
Some of us, as early as 1965, saw the strategic reasons for answering the Soviet in Vietnam and supported the effort in principle and fact even with our deferments. Some of those of us turned against the effort because it was not being prosecuted to victory and unconditional surrender of the NVA and VC, and the pull-out of Soviet logistics. Korea post-MacArthur all over again.
The Democratic-Republican UniParty has repeated the same pattern ever since in every shooting war they, for this reason and that, have started or been ambushed by. He also called out CIA for crap going on there, and his firing was instigated by that pack of scoundrels, who had previously got Petraeus fired for essentially the same reasons: he told them to do their work and make it be for Americans, not foreigners. CIA didn’t like to do or hear that.
Flynn was never a line officer, which gives one necessary grand perspective, but he was a fine intel officer. Intel are not the people to be making strategic decisions. Were I to guess what happened, it would be that when he went civilian and wanted an income he scouted potential clients insufficiently, looking more at what they could pay than at who they really are and what he might pay for representing them.
In other words, I concur with Sundance on this.
