Perliger relies on the assumption that everything is merely a social construct, chosen and mutable therefore chargeable, and that the one he and his colleagues like is mainstream and ones they do not like are on the sidelines, which are always far-right, never far left, and therefore always and inherently violent. His paper here is wrung dry of facts and phenomenology, blood and flesh, force vectors of powers of being. Sounds like a Marie Harf bullet-point briefing. His assumption is false.
Weak, same frame-of-reference/epistemological assumption (all is merely social construct) used by Rachel Dolezal and countless other academics/social justice warriors wanting to blame the The Latin Church (aka The West/White People) for numberless moral sins — existing, mainly — and crimes against humanity — and appreciate Her and the religion, culture and morality She builds out (economics) not at all.
