RAMANAM
In the Name of The Father, and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit, Amen.
Countrymen,
Scott Johnson at Power Line posts today regarding an interchange between his Congressman, Representative John Kline, and CJCS GEN Martin Dempsey. I feel Scott’s take on the interchange is grandstanding and the bulk of commenters’ takes on the situation unintelligent, and my comment there reflects my feeling in this particular:
GEN Dempsey is doing everything he can to protect the Services from disrespect, derision and attack by Globalists and Caliphists inside and outside Washington D.C. He is a good man. And in point of fact, his response to Rep. Kline, as quoted here, is accurate and guileless.
He advises on policy, he does not make it but he does represent it once made, as he does here. Or he resigns. He has not resigned and I am sure the reason is he is able and willing to protect the Services at this critical time. I do not know what he does to do that, but I know he does it and I am sure he does it as well as anyone this side of General MacArthur could.
General Dempsey appears to have reminded Rep. Kline what Susan Rice and ValJar have set in place. He enunciated the political landscape onto which the military view is long known and enunciated, including by General Dempsey — as Rep. Kline knows, or should. It is Rep. Kline’s and his colleagues’ responsibility, as political forces, to solve what Rice and ValJar made a political, not a military, problem.
With respect, the Lone Ranger/Tonto analogy plays to the gallery, not the law or the facts, and Rep. Kline is either behind in his homework or exploiting a differential in position, for what reason I could only guess. Comments here denouncing the ruling class do not aim at things for which its members truly deserve denunciation.
Update 1: A leftie rag now wants American boots on the ground against ISIS. They must feel the beheading knife getting too close. They are right about that and will never admit that their general frame of reference made it so.
