OK, he / they have made a target list, one so general they would get laughed out any decent S-2 or S-3 shop. Here, with considerably more specificity, is the target list going the other direction, in inverse order of ability to affect developments:
Tycoons
Teachers
Infotainment Specialists
Think Tankers
Philanthropy Agents
Government Officials / Lawyers Generally
Clergy
Note please that talk here at Instapundit, a Dystopia For Ruffians, about a coming civil war in USA that “we” need to prevent is ignorant or just more malignant IO. Duffy, the author, fits that profile, although she does know to show heaps of shoulder (the way Conservative Christian women seem to manage to find themselves wrapped frequently in diaphanous blouses and loose sweaters). Democrats, as usual — only now as D-R UniParty — long since started civil war in USA against Americans’ personal and national sovereignty. The war has been underway for decades. The marks have been unwilling to accept the fact and respond appropriately. Who’s to blame for that? Even those who thought it was an economics or ideological war — conservatives, liberals, libertarians — were wrong all along and continue so. It has been spiritual war all along.
This is an IO civil war against self-confidence, tolerance, and compassion, and only if that doesn’t work a civil war by incarceration, and then, when needed, by targeted assassination. McCabe et al (CIA / CCP / Davos) aren’t going to set military force against Americans. They’ll continue with IO, incarceration, and assassination, ramping those up and down as they feel able to get away with it. All the more reason for US sheriffs to sponsor Civil Defense Battalions under their control. Sheriffs are the first and most basic step of law enforcement Americans can control more or less directly, and have the best chance of doing.
Effective counter-battery fire against tsunamis of IO thrown against Americans by the aforementioned seven actors is firstly spiritual: Americans to remember who they are, that their nature is divine, that God is their refuge, that they have nothing to fear, even when playing at the Instapundit Dystopia for Ruffians.
Harvard Divinity School turned Unitarian. This eliminated the element of paradox, the unexpected, from the contemplation of human affairs and the study and practice of Christianity. That brought in Humanism, which whacks off the vertical dimension of life altogether. That brought in the likes of B. F. Skinner (Harvard) and Abraham Maslow (Columbia), who honed information operations, first for product managers, then for spiritual charlatans, government agents, and aspiring tyrants.
The Union Theological Seminary, NYC, established in US leader circles the so-called Neo-Orthodox notion that that that one desires is better and therefore more important than that that exists. Reinhold Niebuhr was the most famous but not the only advocate at Union and elsewhere for this idea. Henry Luce, the publisher, was on and chaired the Union board during some of Niebuhr’s years there.
These developments, both notional, one from the Charles and one amplified from the Hudson, provided navigation tools for a growing cabal of aspiring tyrants — seven listed above, all with the vertical dimension of life stripped out of their deliberations, and all professing absolute certainty and propriety of purpose — to set a course to personal aggrandizement. Both notions are deeply anti-Christian. Both come from supposedly Christian, so-called divinity schools. The irony is thick. Yale, Princeton, and Andover Newton divinity schools just went along.
The sense of unreality, the willingness to lie, the resort to repression one observes in the modern Progressive and their Republican allies in perpetual tyranny derive from allegiance to these notions: that narrative only matters and that it supersedes reality.
Reality, of course, is not in the least accustomed to being superseded, or tolerant of the same. It’s called Dharma, or in Christian circles, Righteousness. Reality is reliable because it is God, and God is not moved by narratives. Neither should men be. Reality is sufficient unto the day thereof.

It is only when man discovers the ultimate unchanging base that he can derive permanent peace; until then, he too will have to swing and sway in the changing world, between joy and grief. Like Vivekananda and Nagamahashaya, people must be urged by the thirst to know the Creator behind Creation, the Person behind the puppets. Nagamahashaya started from the attitude of Dasoham (I am the servant) and made himself so small by shrinking his individuality that he was able to wriggle out of the shackles of delusion and escape into the Universal Eternal Truth. Vivekananda, on the other hand, started from the attitude of Soham (I am He); he made himself so vast and grand, that he broke the shackles and merged with the Supreme Sovereign Truth. When you have earned that jnana of identity of your reality with the Reality behind the Universe, maya (illusion) cannot affect you.
