Conservatives become bewitched by the power of man’s essential reality.

Liberals are prone to cowardice and despair.

Conservatives are prone to arrogance and exultation.

Inside liberals is hidden conservatism and inside conservatives is hidden liberalism because man experiences both his essential reality and his existential predicament.
