Countrymen,

ORBIS NON SUFFICIT
SOLUS DEUS SUFFICIT

Jane is an actress, first, last and foremost. She is now and was in 1972 thoroughly aware of the PR implications of her actions in Vietnam. *Some* details of the story circulated in e-mail are, as noted, not accurate, ginned up, but the purpose and effect of her visit were carefully planned by herself, the US media and the NV Government for precisely the PR value that accrued to it. That intended and effective value to United States Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines, and to the United States as a nation, was sedition, plain and simple, deliberate and patent, despite *some* details of her visit being ginned up recently.

She meant to harm her nation, her government and her nation’s Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines. So did the USA media.  They knew that she did. She knew vividly beforehand the PR value of her visit and its actual details and knew how these would make her nation’s Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines feel. Her visit was staged, probably even rehearsed, since that is the way of entertainers. She meant our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines to feel belittled, estranged and subverted by her actions in Hanoi. She fulfilled her intention in concert with the same intention by an active enemy of her nation.

Her argument, and that of those like her, that her government, not her government’s Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines, was the target of her sedition is specious. In war these cannot be separated. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine and Coast Guard Officers ARE the United States and their Enlisted charges embody the United States. That is one thing their Oaths, of Office and Enlistment, mean. To subvert them is to subvert not just the Government of the United States but the United States as a sovereign people and nation. The Officers and Enlisted Ranks of our Armed Forces carry out the orders of the Government of the United States. They concretize the will of our sovereign nation.  They are our nation and her government.

No distinction can be made between Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines of all ranks, on the one hand, and the Government of the United States, on the other hand, during war. And no distinction can be made between the Officer Corps of our Armed Forces and the Government of the United States at any time. Jane could not calumniate the Government of the United States without calumniating the Armed Forces of the United States. She knew that at the time and she knows it today. Her recent apology is more attention for her, not atonement for her sedition.

That she was not charged with sedition does not mean she did not commit or did not intend sedition.  DOJ simply decided not to charge her.  She very well did and will always be remembered for sedition, despite her latter day and temporary profession of religiosity. She is an actress. Her goal is the spotlight and she can play almost any role. She is considered a good actress, playing her parts well, for the most part. Nothing she does means more than publicity to her, which translates to money and fame. If she sounds to repent or recant a previous act, it is just more publicity, more spotlight, nothing genuine in the way of atonement for evil deeds.

Why we listen to actors and actresses as having anything significant to say that is not simply acting a part is beyond me. But when they go to the extremes that Jane did and people like Depp, Penn, Stone and Streisand do more recently to subvert their nation and her government and the mission on which its Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines are actively engaged, then we are justified in regarding their actions as not only grandstanding for personal attention — the only constant in the life of every actor and actress — but also sedition.

As if actors and actresses have anything informed and therefore useful to say about national affairs! They are actors and actresses. They bear no responsibility whatsoever for the national welfare. They are neither elected nor appointed representatives of their nation. They are not commissioned Officers of the United States, although some have been: Jimmy Stewart was a USAF Reserve BG, for example and others served in both Officer and/or Enlisted Ranks.

Jane was seditious in 1972 and, by attempting to drive a wedge between Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines and the government whose orders they obey, continues seditious right through the present hour. She has not changed, she is not sorry (more spotlight-grabbing) and she is not repentant. Were she repentant, she would shut up and behave herself, overcome with contrition which, when genuine, is too strong to share and is profanized if shared. Only the anguish of private contrition can atone evil done.

Jane was and remains a very bad girl. She knows that she is and continues to want attention for being bad because she knows she cannot have attention for being good. She is an actress. Attention is her one goal. She has had enough attention here.

Update 1: 25 February 2014

Update 2: Knowing for certain what we know in 2014 of US government personnel engagement in anti-US activities, suspicion in 1972 that US government personnel, such as at DOJ, State and CIA at least, aided and abetted Fonda in her PR coup against the US in North Vietnam should be a certainty, even if names are not known in public.
