This is an absurd notion. Who can tell the difference, and by what measure?

The Church is the State. The State is the Church. They are identical twins. Bonhoeffer was wrong. They have different forms but they are of the same essence and participate in the same existence and under the same conditions of existence. They are of the same structure of being and they manifest the same power of being.

Tom Jefferson and other lights of the Enlightenment were neither plenary bearers of truth nor the last word on anything.

The notion of a wall of separation between two anythings is absurd. The wall would be of the same structure of being and manifest the same power of being as the two things (forms) it is alleged to separate.

There cannot be found an essential difference or an existential separation or non-connectedness between any things.
