An adage among litigating attorneys observes: when the facts are against you, pound the law; when the law is against you, pound the facts; when both are against you, pound the table.

The adage appears in The People, Yes, by Carl Sandburg, 1936: “If the facts are against you, argue the law. If the law is against you, argue the facts. If the law and the facts are against you, pound the table and yell like hell.”

Well, what does one do when the table is against you? Presumably, smash the table and the rest of the furniture. And if that is against you? Well, assassinate everyone else present and blow down the room.

And when all that is against you? Well, to exist at all one needs an object to help one make the dance existence is, the dance (or dialectics) of subject and object. So if you have destroyed all external objects, there is only one left: yourself.

And that is where you get when your arguments fail to convince the world yet you insist the world accept them. You self-destruct by dancing with yourself as the only world left to conquer.

Come now these pounders … what do they call themselves? … Muslims?

Indeed!?

How could it be?

Religion teaches the modes of earning peace. What need has religion to pound anything except self-destructive impulses in one’s own heart?

When the mind is still, under control of a clean heart, the world is at peace. When the mind leaps about, under control of a dirty impulses in the heart, the world is disquiet and delusions demanding acceptance or re-mediation commend themselves to fanatical undertakings.

Fanaticism claims ultimacy for some thing that is finite: a book, a name, an organization, an idea, a personality, a nation, a legal system, a profession, a cause, etc.

Truth is self-evident, it needs nor makes no argument, for truth grasps one directly in the center of one’s experience.

Agape love is the only absolute because only agape love can be itself by sacrificing itself. And agape love is the only relative because only agape love includes all relationships. Agape love is simultaneously the only ultimate and the only relative.

These pounders calling themselves Muslims long-since abandoned arguing law and facts and even pounding the table. Each of those efforts failed to convince the world that they represent the truth. Of late they moved to assassinating everyone else in the room and blowing that down, which today they claim to be in process of completing.

As if!

Islam is a religion which by definition is self-evidently true and neither needs nor can be convincing by means of argument. Whoever argues for what is self-evident argues for something other than the truth and other than a religion, which is the point at which the question of life is answered self-evidently in a personal center.

So these pounders are not Muslims. They are raving lunatics, or in classical terms, ogres. Specifically, Caliphists.  Their assertions are not the truth. Their religion is hogwash. Their law is insane. Their scripture is the leaping delusion of their minds. Their god is themselves and their prophet is a dirty extortionist who calls himself imam, mullah or sheikh.

Their fanaticism is evidence of their failure to make their points generally in the world. And it is portent of their sublimation by education or demise by direct-and self-destruction.

Probably in the area of 20-30 millions of these desperate lunatics reside in nations around the world. That is a lot of fanaticism for a tightly-knit global system. And that is why their pounding should be taken seriously, to be educated up or pounded down and out.

Their ability to pound should be removed and they should be given the opportunity of coming to their senses or losing them. These are the only courses of action that will stop them pounding and blowing down soon enough.

Above all, they should not be accorded the name Muslim. They should be named as Caliphists or ogres or lunatics claiming to be Muslims. Their objective is domination of the world by their leaders who call themselves imams, mullahs or sheikhs.  Cheats and liars all.
