SOLUS DEUS SUFFICIT
Islamocrats have been attacking national sovereignties for centuries. As Moslems and as International Social Democrats, they are of late decades united as, effectively, Islamocrats and, in the USA, the D-R UniParty. Their enemy is national sovereignty per se. Were they — Moslems and Social Democrats (aka Socialists: Communists and Fascists) — to carry the day anywhere, they would be at each others throats in a New York minute.
Deep matters are at trial, are in struggle, between Patriots and Islamocrats. At issue is national sovereignty supported by personal freedom vice global governance supported by universal slavery. In classical political philosophy: republicanism vice oligarchy. In classical philosophy of ethics: personhood vice thinghood.
Deeply important struggles evoke extraordinary ruminations and improving literatures. Such is the case today. In proof of which, I offer for scrutiny these essays in descending order of profundity as I assess that quality:

My comment: Europe has a common narrative, a common language: The Christian Liturgical Year. Fidelity to that would clarify things in a trice.
