A certain celebratory conjugation is indicated. Boy, marry your girl friend. Girl, marry your boyfriend. Start a family, conceiving as many children as you can within your circumstances in life. Homeschool them. Coordinate with other homeschooling parents and such sources of education as are comfortable for you and indicated by your children’s desires, to bring to your children the challenges and resources which quench their thirst for learning and career vector expansion, as they experiment towards that, as you intuit it in them and as they gain a conscious sense of it.

If your parents do not support you, shake the dust of their house off you and head out on your own with your spouse. Dharma protects those who protect Dharma. The basic essential of Dharma is freedom. Be free and you cannot do ill or be at a loss. But you must be brave. Doubters will be destroyed. Duty is God. Work is Worship.

When circumstances allow/necessitate, guide your children towards trade or technical schools. DO NOT encourage them to engage in post-secondary liberal arts so-called education. There is no such thing today, anywhere, except perhaps in an exceedingly small and stressed number of Christian schools. A sampler of post-secondary trade and technical schools worthy of consideration is here. Also, consider junior/community college, technical institute, for-profit vocational and online secondary and post-secondary opportunities. When we were homeschooling, we called this shared schooling (and here). The mission is to get to the student/child/learner whatever resource they need, regardless of its origin. This is especially important for homeschooling post-primary children, whose yearnings must exceed their parent’s native abilities to supply and quench.

Update 1: Yes! And if conservatives had a powerful message, and if their principles had universal appeal for being existentially valid, their preaching would have taken hold and not sound like hectoring. Conservatives offer an alternative elitism, of themselves, not an American patriotism. Everyone can smell it. It is revolting and so are Americans.
Update 2: Trump is not dangerous in any way. You and the numerous and distinguished company in which you move are projecting. A dangerous man does not have that family Trump has. That is a careful, sound and loving man. Are you blind? Has Megan McArdle produced as well? Hillary? Warren?
Update 3: Carter’s vagueness may be related to his boss’ [Rice] support for The Moslem Brotherhood by fostering, temporarily, both sides of a related set-to: Turkey and Kurds. What a mess, all because Rice’s real friend in MENA is The Brotherhood and its troops, who are enemies one way or another of everyone else in the area.
Update 4: Women voting is an excellent idea — it saved Japan, as GOA MacArthur knew it would — but handing them high national responsibility is not. Women are prone to fear and anger, precisely what no nation needs at its helm, except in very, very rare cases, such as Thatcher. Such do not grow on trees. They are to the manner born, and most rarely. When they exist, they will make their way to where they are called to be. Just throwing women into positions of high national responsibility because they are women is insane.
