Of Prudes, Puritans and Sanctimony

Chaitanya Jyothi Museum Opening, 2000

RAMANAM
In the Name of The Father, and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit, Amen.

Countrymen,

ORBIS NON SUFFICIT
SOLUS DEUS SUFFICIT

Language common to locker rooms (of both genders), movies, stages, gyms, golf courses, gender clubs (both), private elevators, night clubs and thousands of ad hoc locales is suddenly verboten?  We’re Americans.  Some of us talk that way.  Actually a lot of us, men and women, talk that way.  Have since … whenever.  So what?  Only hypocritical sanctimony will object to the way Americans talk.  Americans focus on salient realities, such as their freedoms, their safety and their nation’s strategic goals.

The crowd that saddled the Republican Party with this abominable nominee has done the GOP and the nation a terrible disservice.

[Such haughty usage: the crowd EEEEW!].  Or usefully exposed the Democratic-Republican Uniparty’s hypocritical sanctimony.  I am glad the GOP has been undone.  So has been the DNC.  I cannot think of an higher immediate service Donald and Melania Trump could have done for their — my — nation.  They have exposed the craven, crouching, killing prudery at the center of the academic-juridical club that has made itself an odious, treasonous political class fastened on the nation’s back and sucking out her vitality for their private benefit … they think.

The crowd [EEEEW] has made itself effective and will expand its sovereign authority.  Donald Trump has said all along and still says, he is not the salient phenomenon here.  The movement [the crowd EEEEW] he embodies is the importance.  That movement the political class will not, can not manage.

Jesus of Nazareth had a response to the crowd [EEEW] rather otherwise than that of preening puritans (pharisees) then, now and forever.

The enormity in the language of our host’s post addresses itself to me.  No cheer is there, no light gaiety of spirit.  Not even grounds for schadenfreude.  Only bitter denunciation through tones of frustration at incapacity to terminate its object permanently.

The edge of an hurricane throws itself into existence here in North Carolina.  No doubt some here want to cause the nature of nature to be not.

Be grand.  Shun prudery.

Update 1: Glenn Reynolds, and here, and here

Update 2: Trump hater Ed Driscoll, and here

Update 3: Trump nose-holder John Hinderaker, and here

My comment on the latter:

… all Republicans should resolve never, ever again to nominate an amateur to run for president.

All Republicans (and Democrats) should resolve never, ever again to nominate an individual who wants to be POTUS.
