How White Educated Female Liberals
Are Destroying the Culture
Women are prone to fear and anger. Lawyers are prone to tunnel-vision and parsing. Those four qualities defeat the purpose of government. The purpose of government is to protect the citizens, remove obstacles from their paths and regulate their activities fairly. Another way to put it: the purpose of government is to provide water and plant trees.
Women are not given over to fear and anger, but they are prone to those emotions. Lawyers are not given over to tunnel-vision and parsing, but they are prone to those cognitive habits.
Fear begets so-called PC culture. Anger begets partiality, lawlessness and fanaticism. Tunnel-vision frustrates statecrafts’s essential coup d’œil. Parsing incites the so-called nanny-state.
Men are prone to let slights slide off. Women are prone to nurse resentment for slights. Men are prone to careful action. Women are prone to an abundance of caution. Men are prone to the wider view. Women are prone to immediacies. Men are prone to linguistic largesse and verbal humor. Women are prone to linguistic pedantry and verbal savagery.
One speaks here of prones and givens to, not of definites or predictables. The same emotions and cognitive habits mix in the genders, but not in equal measures. One gender has more of some and less of others. One speaks above of certain emotions of which women have more and certain cognitive habits of which lawyers have more because these specific emotions and cognitive habits diminish a person’s suitability for government service. Government service requires, above all else, impartiality, calm vision and equal disposition. Fairness and balance, we call it. The fewer women and lawyers — women or men — in government service the better. The more men the better, and the more men and women from walks of life other than law the better. The ideal government servant is a socially and intellectually refined — by the school of life — Soldier in the condition of a civilian or parent citizen volunteer from a walk of life other than law.
Update 1: The goal of Republicans should be to find the right answers to these problems.
What are they? How many years have you and your class and guild had to find them, and not? Just like a Democrat, We need change!, well, yeah, you’ve said that for decades and nothing ever pleases you and you haven’t pleased anyone but yourself and your peers. And you sure as shootin’ haven’t solved the problems you say we have. That’s called prattling impotence where I come from.
The ideas given in the post are about political maneuvering, not problem solving. The problems are intellectual and spiritual, not political, at least not in the first instance.
Yes, Reagan era is over, sitrep far otherwise now, but no, what now passes for conservative principles ain’t worth spit. They have produced exactly nothing, or rather, a Democratic-Republican Uniparty, which is an eight-bit name for nothing. Spengler himself just described Bill Kristol and John Podhoretz with metaphor earthier and rather father through the GI tract than mine here.
Tobin has incinerated a straw man. Typical conservative chinless sanctimony. He grasps the movement the way an ant grasps the ocean. It’s big, buddy, it’s big, and it makes very powerful weather.
It’s a good thing the Democratic-Republican Uniparty is using their bureaucracies to burn down their own breeding sheds — schools — turning their own offspring into mountainous morons.

Update 3: Trump and Bolton Take On the International Criminal Court
Update 4: Glenn Reynolds: Me, then: I love lawyers. I am a lawyer. But there are plenty of places where the role of lawyers should be limited, and war is certainly one of them. Nothing has happened since to make me think I was wrong.
Update 5:
David R. Graham
Here, again, are women in executive power allowing themselves to be swept away by spates of rising fear and anger, because it is their nature. Few, not many, women are capable of exercising executive power reasonably and responsibly.
Along with drugs, our primary problem, a plethora of women in executive positions is the most destructive bane extant in America.
Many women can be fine staff officers. Most women would be horrible line officers, because of their nature, their proneness to fear and anger. Just itemize instances on campuses of dis-ease driven by irrational and irresponsible decisions against which gender from on high makes and promulgates most of those decisions. QED
Fearan Iarthair to David R. Graham
Females have ruined every male institution to which men have been fool enough to admit them, turning these into Maoist day-care centers that run estrogen-fueled soap operas 24/7.
David R. Graham to Fearan Iarthair
True, but men let them do this. Ultimately, it is on the men. They set the standards, make the forms, order the constructions. Women do the work, but men determine which work gets done.
