Big Science Is Broken.  See the last paragraph.  That is exactly what I did, only, I had no grant, had to self-support, which was hard but doable.  But the same phenomenon this author remarks in re science existed in the 1960s and earlier in re theology.  The young ones — then I — got the necessary basic research done, fresh and unpolluted enough to do it.  Basically, Mommy was my grant.

The work that needed doing was founding an hermitage, a place where people can come and rest, a monastery for modern times, a family monasticism.  We did that, Mommy and I and our God-given progeny.
