Democrats and Republicans are two personas of one oligarchic party laboring towards one criminal goal: global governance, subduction of national sovereignties under totalist bureaucracies controlled by one frame of reference.  To transcend this condition, the nation would need to produce a second party, a republican party.  Everything flying about and not producing a republican party is misdirection.

When one hears about governing rather than ruling, one will know that affairs are moving above the tawdry ejected onto the world on 20 January 2009.
