Anyone ever ponder standing up a women’s sniper battalion or two, maybe joint service, say, as a new Tier II element of SOCOM?

Women in regular front line combat is nonsense — Israelis do not do it, the lifting is too much for women — but women as front line snipers, now, that has been done successfully (Russians).

Women are naturally good shots and naturally prone to sniping (especially at other women, women say).  Why not join the two propensities?

They could deploy to combat zones after the manner of other Tier II units, an element here, an element there, reinforcing and guarding line and support units.

I suspect female volunteers for that duty would exceed in number female volunteers for regular line units.

Standing up such battalions, and as SOF formations, would bleed political pressure from harridans’ steam pots and juice the lethality of American Armed Forces.
