In 1972 an invitation was given by Dr. Mary Catherine “Cat” Bateson to attend a conference sponsored by the Wenner-Gren Foundation at their property Burg Wartenstein in Austria.  The subject was Ritual.  I accepted.  However, in 1973, on the eve of boarding for Vienna, where I was to be collected, I decided against attending, returned the monies advanced and settled in San Diego, CA.  My work produced for the occasion and titled Ritual is here.

There was a time when I brimmed with short and even cryptic sayings.  Actually, that time seems not to have ceased, though it waxes and wanes.  Collected, these sayings were called Epigrams.  Later they were called Dialectics.  Now they are restored to the name Epigrams and contained in multiple posts on this website under titles Epigrams I, Epigrams II, etc.  The search engine reachable by clicking the three-bar symbol at the top left of this page will bring up the Epigrams posts.
