Steven Hayward today at Power Line wrote incredulously about Democrats nominating Al Gore for President in 2016.  The NYT floated the first trial balloon and Vox grabbed it.  I commented as follows, to include a comment on my second comment by one Claire Gerber.

Well, Democrats have an ambitious minority woman already in the White House. Wouldn’t even need to cart off the silver service, goblets and plates. Mother would not have to move. And she has thrasos, guts. That is who they will nominate. For her, White House Commo/Oppo is having MSM clear the field, as there in NYT: juicing up about Gore juices him down the memory hole, reminds everyone how worthless he is.

Remember, liberals see and think exactly as conservatives do. There is total agreement on what is there and even what would be the right thing to do regarding what is there. The difference is how they run with it, what they DO regarding that upon which they agree as to both its nature and proper handling.

For liberal I prefer Globalist and for conservative American. Globalists want to make what is there something else. Americans want to make what is there work for them.

Globalists/Liberals remind one of Aunt Agatha surveying Bertie Wooster, deciding he needs Honoria Glossop to mold him. Bertie protests he is not a jelly. Aunt Agatha retorts that is a matter of opinion.

Point being, Globalists/Liberals are never content with reality, always want it to be something else of their making, not of its own.

Perhaps American/Conservative oppo would take some real estate referring to Hillary, Barbara, Michelle, Valerie, etc. as Aunt Agatha after the manner of Winston referring to his opponent as Sir Stifford Craps and Franklin his as Hoobert Heaver. Bring a hearty American belly laugh.

Mine to Claire Geber above: Yes. Perhaps Aunt Hillary Gregson and Aunt Agatha O’Michelle? I am not good at that sort of thing. Some, fortunately, are. But the Aunt Agatha-ish character of those harpies’ [see also harridans, and here, and here … Aunt Agathas all] frame of reference and intent regarding everyone else — mold them, nudge them, choice-architecture them — seems aptly noted. Certainly keenly felt. Americans just like to make things, as they are, work for them. Perfectly normal, reasonable.

Update 3: A friend of great learning wondered whether Trans-nationalists might be better than Globalists as descriptor of these personalities.  I replied:

I think Globalist is most descriptive. Trans-nationalist they use but what they really mean is post-nationalist.  And the positive rendering of that (a slimy evasion of theirs regarding their actual impulses, IMO) would be, I think, Globalist.

One thing strikes me, especially as seen in the videos of in-place leader cadres: sensible people in their socializing/parties are currying favor, if not even fawning, rather than being practical, direct and comprehensive.  Too much smiling for effect, not enough cold-handed, warm-hearted, hard-minded simplicity.

My brother-in-law says at root this disturbance is about religion.  He is right.  Jews and Caliphists about equally hate Christians. Caliphists add Hindus to the list, as well they should given their proclivities.  And Greek/Russian Christians do not do the Latin Church or Christianity generally any favors.

Also being read is Feliks Koneczny’s The Jewish Civilization, bit by bit, almost daily.  A little over half through it.  Rather gives a feeling of de ja vu, reads like what the Caliphists are doing today.  So much detail I cannot read it chapters at a time, too much to absorb. I am a bear of very little brain.  Lord love a duck, those people have hatred for Christianity and Christians!  And Christians, most, do not realize that they do!

Koneczny is not grasping Hinduism — he calls it Brahminism, which is not the same as Hinduism — at its center when he correlates it with Jewish civilization, but that is a minor matter, not detracting from his central procession.  There is, however, IMO, a grain of truth in his making that connection, given the sketchy indications I have heard that Hebrews (later Jews) came from Kashmir.  In that link my thoughts regarding the epithet Kyke or Kike for Jews may be of interest.  One will not be able to hang one’s hat on it, I know, but of interest it should be as, at a minimum, relevant background noise.

Saying the question is a matter of religion is really saying it is a matter of the location of authority.  Individual or group?  There are no other possibilities.  Latin Church says individual with group help, as does Hinduism.  Greek/Russian Church says group with individual endorsement.  Jews and Caliphists say group, period.  There is the battle clear, with Greek/Russian Church throwing up fogs of FUD.
