Countrymen.

Photo this morning in Rapid City, SD.  We who grew up in SoCal 1940s-60s remember our beloved Orange Julius.  Much of SoCal was under orange groves during those years, including Claremont, where I branched and leafed.

Classic Ford delivery van from I believe the 1960s (not sure).  Parked in front of a DQ.  Maybe there was an OJ fountain inside, I did not go in.  In any case, the owner of the vehicle, who I assume owned the DQ, knew his history, design and colors.

Rapid City, SD and SD generally along the I-90 corridor, gives CA a run for its money in hosting a 1000% marketed population.  Highways lined with huge billboards, even in the outback.
