Fort Polk / JRTC Cavalry Horse Descendants

RAMANAM
In the Name of The Father, and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit, Amen.

Countrymen,

ORBIS NON SUFFICIT
SOLUS DEUS SUFFICIT

Legend has it that at some point early in the 20th century, when horse cavalry units gave up their mounts for the steel version, the cavalry regiment at Ft. Polk Louisiana simply opened their stable doors and let their horses out to wander the thousands of acres of training areas.  Their descendants are many – and wander all over the JRTC training areas!  Extremely tame, barely batting an eye when a Chinook nearly lands on top of them, and not thinking twice before cutting off a tank moving down the road.
