The doubling of the number of BRICS member countries indicates the determination of the world community to throw off the yoke of neocolonial oppression, develop according to its national interests, preserve the traditions of civilization and not allow the destructive influence of Western liberal dictatorship. That’s in short.
As for the danger, London must first of all beware of the technological degradation that has set in in Britain, caused by liberal decadence.
The sub-title of this post — A Problem/Possibility Focuser — is an homage of mine to my former colleague Robert Theobald.
Before I met him at The University of Redlands in the Spring of 1968, where I served as Assistant Chaplain on an intern year from Seminary, Bob and his mentor/wife /co-author Jean Scott published a series of small books / pamphlets titled Problem/Possibility Focusers. These addressed social-political-economic concerns of the day as delivery vehicles for Bob’s and Jean’s ideas regarding the same. Jean was Bob’s real mentor.
I was, effectively, their Chief of Staff and fully their co-collaborator and co-author from May 1968 until January 1971, when I abruptly ceased work in those capacities. The parting was neither friendly nor mutual. Word was put out that I had, in a phrase of the day, dropped out. Bob and his later associates memory-holed me and my subsequent labors. They also memory-holed Jean.
There is a distinction between real, mutual interests and merely geopolitical ones. US real, mutual interests are all on the American Continent. Elsewhere, US interests are merely geopolitical — messing around in other people’s affairs — and, thank God, no longer enforceable or tolerable much less justifiable. There’s the truth the DC circuit, and their friends around the NATO-Euro-American Bloc, refuse to get through their heads. They don’t want to hear it. Their obduracy causes their dis-ease — and that of US-Americans and other nations altogether — as well as their demise. NEVER INSIST unless you are in a position of command that you have in security and can maintain.
