West Point And Putin

Scimus autem quoniam diligentibus Deum omnia cooperantur in bonum, iis qui secundum propositum vocati sunt sancti. And we know that to them that love God, all things work together unto good, to such as, according to his purpose, are called to be saints.

There are West Pointers who are aware of what is happening, as much so, at least, as any of us is and tries to keep up with. But command and staff at West Point, especially command — all of whom are West Pointers — highlight for Cadets and fellow citizens whatever is party line from CIA-USAID, Congress, White House, and especially the Ivies. Very little of military education occurs now at West Point and the other four national service academies. The cynosure of West Point command and staff is the humanities-heavy, ideologically-formatted Ivy League faculty and prestige. That’s who today’s West Point command and staff want to revere them.

To the world, today’s West Point command and staff project sanctimony and omni-competence. They are not at all serious about national defense. In other words, they are weak, jealous, and frightened. As soldiers they are stuck-up, useless, and even dangerous. Not all of them, but increasing in presence, and even as token of admissibility (by race, gender, family, ethnicity, etc. — any latest weird thing other than moral, physical, and intellectual competence and accomplishment).

West Point is the nation’s first engineering school. It is a trade school for soldiers who bear high national responsibility. War-fighting is an engineering enterprise. This is why warriors make the best executives, legislators, and judges.

The American Putin hasn’t shown yet. But he is here, I guarantee it. All this heartache will move off in a very short span of time, as happened in Russia. People themselves sort out the details. The leader just gives them the feeling that they can do it and that they will be OK just by carrying on with what they think best for themselves — swadharma, inner necessity — and each other. And by ensuring homeland defense!

It’s all in the feelings. People say, You can do whatever you dream of doing.  Everyone knows that is a lie. What is the truth, and not a lie, is that a man or a woman whose feelings touch God and their neighbors with sweetness and patience makes miracles more wonderful than anyone’s dreams conjure.

You watch a man like Putin — you feel it as you watch him discharge his duties — you see a man whose very feelings run in the palpably right direction, towards expanding the contentment, the serenity of his countrymen and even that of citizens of other countries, if they would just be friendly instead of stuck-up. Each of us should be a little Putin in this regard, wherever we are, whatever we’re doing, whatever our station in life. Spiritual expansion is our fundamental duty as human beings — just as it is Putin’s — during our life together in this breathing world.

Principle I

The United States have no authority in the domestic affairs of other countries and expect other countries to reciprocate by not feigning authority in our domestic affairs. The United States have interest in the lines of communication running between The United States and all other countries and expect all other countries to bear fairly the burden of keeping those lines open, safe, reliable, fair, and clean.

Principle II

The United States welcome alliance with our brother nations India and Russia for enforcement, from their perspectives, of the ground of statecraft set forth in Principle I and urge Japan and Egypt to join us for that endeavor and commitment.

Principle III

An order to deploy which lacks or frustrates intent to compel a target to sign a declaration of unconditional surrender is an unlawful order by the Rules of Just War, the Conventions of War, Common Sense, and the Spirit of America. An order to deploy conveys this intent to the Commanding Officer: win this war / battle in a timely manner at the lowest possible cost to yourself and your enemy or do not come back alive.
