Law should be color-blind (race-blind) — and religion-blind — with respect to principle and enforcement. The USA is admired, such as it is, because in theory at least our law is color-blind (race-blind) and religion-blind.
People, however, are neither color-blind (race-blind) nor religion-blind. Nor should they be. Nor can law make them otherwise. Nor can they be otherwise. Facts are facts. Show up at my door with nose rings and pink hair and I am going to take you as a dangerous, degenerate desperado.
Blacks move towards blacks. Whites towards whites. Mexicans towards Mexicans. Panamanians towards Panamanians. Jews towards Jews. Russians towards Russians. Christians towards Christians. Hindus towards Hindus. Etc.
My Baha’i friends preach unity of peoples beyond race and religion. But they want their daughters to marry Baha’i men of their own [fill in the nation/ethnicity of descent].
We Americans are not a melting pot. That is a horrible metaphor for who we are, demeaning, angry, and brutal. We are a garden of gardens. Blacks are a bed of flowers here. Whites here. Russians here. German flowers are here in this area. Vietnamese flowers grow here. Christians are here. Hindus in that direction close by. Buddhists you’ll find over here in this area of the garden we Americans are. Etc.
Why aren’t US military units composed of ethnic-based and religion-based combat, combat support, and combat service support formations? Some more or less are. For example, by self-selection SOF units are majority Scots and Germanics, to include Scandinavians, and Transpo units are largely Afro-Carib and women. Well and good. Self-selection is a benefit to the US Armed Forces. So why isn’t this phenomenon US Armed Forces policy? It should be on grounds of unit cohesion, force retention, force lethality, and combat readiness.
Remember the US 442nd RCT? Buffalo Soldiers? Tuskegee Airmen? Montford Point Marines? Britain’s Polish Squadrons? The Wehrmacht’s Bandera battalions (whose descendants rule today’s Kiev)?
Americans work best as volunteers. We are a free people, after all, not vassals of oligarchs, government officials, or titled/entitled personalities no matter their awesomeness of some sort.
Our military formations should include, as they did at our founding and into the 20th Century:
units from company to regiment size, recruited to serve together, from states, regions of states, and cities,
units recruited to serve together and comprising single ethnicity or religion composition, and
units recruited to serve together then trained and at least modestly equipped by enterprising individuals of means and morals.
Congress should award such enterprising individuals command of the unit they recruited, with brevet rank and pay commensurate with the unit’s size: Captain for Companies, Lieutenant Colonel for Battalions, Colonel for Regiments / Brigades.
Comparable command and brevet ranks and pay Congress should award enterprising individuals recruiting for Space, Air, Cyber, and Sea Forces.
If an enterprising individual demonstrates military sense, skill, and leadership commensurate with commanding the size of unit they recruited and command in brevet rank and pay, or has been promoted to command, Congress should upgrade their brevet rank and pay to regular commission and benefits.
The problem in the Jim Crow South was whites controlling schools for blacks. Brown v. Board of Education could have put blacks in charge of black schools and let them make their ways, which would be different from the ways whites make of their schools. That didn’t happen, but it still can happen. It should happen. A garden hosts many species of beautiful plants, all having the desired quality of charm.
Blacks are different, why not accept that? Why can’t they, Americans as they are, make their own garden as part of the garden The USA is? Ditto Jews, Christians, Russians, Hindus, Japanese, etc. What in the name of all that’s gracious is wrong with the splendor of color and life comprising a garden of gardens. We are none of us the same except in divine essence. We are different in mundane existence but not enemies.
We Americans were well to stop brutalizing ourselves with self-images that are mechanical — melting pot, exceptional, city on a hill — and stoney words which hurt the heart when hurled at the head. Our proper self-image is as beautiful flowers of many kinds, sweet fruits of delicious tastes, rich soils in which to plant and tend gardens of rest, of charm and orchards of delight, nourishment, and recreation.
Small bits of each of us us fit the mechanical metaphor, but the whole of each one of us, and of our gatherings into groups, fits only the botanical metaphor.
With their IO-installed political officials bought through CIA and MI6, and staying bought, while inspired by WEF values, what do Europeans have to fight back and win freedom with? And if they find someone to rally them, who says the grounds for that rally will be magnanimous and just for all? Europeans really have only one means of winning against their IO-installed political officials, and that is to respect Russia and become Eurasians. In a word, return to The Church Who birthed their ancestors and gives life to the descendants. The one who wins this war between IO-installed political officials and peoples is the one who fosters the mentality of production and extirpates the mentality of extraction. Invest time, money, and energy in making things useful to others rather than betting on derivatives and rents.
