On September 1, 2022, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov addressed first-year students and staff at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). The transcript is here. Reports and excerpts are here. These excerpts I consider germane in view of the experiment following:
- Russian-Chinese relations have reached a fundamentally new level that is superior to the classic military alliances of the past era. Draw conclusions from this . . . . We will not develop our relations with the PRC, relations of a fundamentally new quality against anyone.
- Together with China, we see these dangers perfectly well, we will not let ourselves be provoked and will promote an agenda that will obviously be much more attractive to the countries of the region than the confrontation that is being imposed by the West.

Why, one may ask? I think the answer is simple: to cause an irreversible wealth transfer, history’s hugest, from the world’s nations to Euro-American elites, principally the American ones.
CNAS-like people feel safe only when they control everything, especially money, sex, communications, and land.
Other people’s human nature and natural aspirations get in the way of their doing that.

- Laying down the American way — what they claim is the American way — as the only way, for everyone, has not worked for Vicki Nuland, Kurt Campbell, Michèle Flournoy, Mike Pompeo, Condoleezza Rice, and their minion hordes. They know it has not worked.
- Their ignoring, even despising, the sovereign authorities of persons and nations has brought ignominy and condemnation to these Americans who claim to be America’s leaders, our entitled elites. They know that too.
Their goal always has been, as Center For Strategic And International Studies puts it, finding ways to sustain American prominence and prosperity as a force for good in the world. * By prominence they mean one-party global oligarchy. By good they means rules they lay down for anyone except themselves to obey, on pain of war, famine, and pestilence.
- * The Atlantic Council advances the same thought in this language: Driven by our mission of “shaping the global future together,” the Atlantic Council is a nonpartisan organization that galvanizes US leadership and engagement in the world, in partnership with allies and partners, to shape solutions to global challenges.
Studiously absent in these mission statements is consideration for the sovereign habits and aspirations of persons, organizations, and nations not allies and partners of The Atlantic Council and their sister think tankers. Washington D.C. is home to almost none but one think tank having a horde of names, funded / staffed by the same bumptiously sententious persons, organizations, and nations. Like New York, monied, networked D.C. is a very, very small town. Fearful elites talk about diversity because that advantage of life is not present among them.
All their programming of others being known by all now not to work, * the only thing CNAS-like people can think of to make themselves feel safe is to rid themselves of the bother of other peoples’ human nature and natural aspirations altogether. Genocide the nations. F the EU, spake Vicki Nuland. That will open for seizure vast stores of money, sex, communications, and land off which CNAS-like people and their friends — those comprising, for example, Grumman, Lockheed, Vanguard, BlackRock, Blackstone, Monsanto, Cargill, Dupont — can get fat and comfortable. At least awhile.
- * Russians accomplished this enlightenment of Euro-American elites, oligarchs, using just one tactically minor, for them, but strategically major, for all, combined arms special military operation to restore Novorossiya and Malorossiya to political, moral, cultural, and economic independence. Self-sacrifices of this kind, on behalf of what is good for others because they, the others, want it, used to be undertaken by Americans. Russians today are behaving more like Americans than are Americans . . . than are at least Americans’ disgraced, stuck-up, oligarchic elites.
This train of thought and action is consistent with its starting point: demand to control everything that might factor into one’s feeling safe. It also is consistent with the premise that one is chosen by God to rule the world . . . by enticements if possible, by diplomatic and financial manipulations always, and by the punishment of death against objectors and protestors if wanted.
Their desire to reject VUCA — to deny reality in fact, and specifically the inscrutable divinity of humanity — gives such people, when among their fellow Americans and human beings, and when permitted into the councils of government, the aspect of typhoon force winds running rollers against a lee shore. They are not about building anything charming or useful.
Richard Strauss, then, seems to me to be more than the greatest man of music of our time. He is in my opinion a central figure in today’s most crucial dilemma of aesthetic morality — the hopeless confusion that arises when we attempt to contain the inscrutable pressures of self-guiding artistic destiny within the neat, historical summation of collective chronology. The I has power and authority
to cleave the MIC from the MATT.
Given their aims, VUCA deniers are genociding the nations — designer wars, designer famines, designer diseases, torn families, ruined institutions, collapsed economies — but not the world. Were they to genocide the world, by way of a general nuclear extravaganza, the lands and lives they want to control in order to feel safe and important would cease to exist, and the VUCA they struggle to ignore would seep in through the air vents of their shelters. They know that. They would be destitute, even in their well-stocked bunkers and lovely hide-aways.
The MAC wing of MICIMATT is distorting the MIC wing. Breaking off the MATT from the MIC would restore order to both. There is where the I part — intelligence, in both small and capital I‘s — has a job to do. Penetrate the screen of delusion thrown up by CNAS-like people to protect / benefit themselves and their MICIMATT friends from serious scrutiny and scrubbing. The wedge of intelligence, thrust between the MIC and the MATT, would disconnect the MATT from the MIC, for the betterment of both. Tell them what they are doing and that they are seen doing it. This will sheer off the MATT, who have no responsibilities to protect personal and national sovereignties, and thus can only muddy councils thereto, from the MIC, who do have those responsibilities.
The civilian so-called US Intelligence Community is an enormous reservoir of small, dirty minds.
