Renouncing omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence so as to empty out, to be without those qualities while in the human condition is one thing.

Kenosis of human prerogatives and nature is at least as necessary as kenosis of divine prerogatives and nature for the drama of salvation to be effective. This the inner meaning of the Good Friday events. An empty person is a free (saved) person. Especially empty must be the mind, so that it ceases running off in this direction and that, remains still, at home, quiet, free of any trace of impetuosity.
