Question: Who inside the Middle East is positioned to assist in nation building there? Again, who can lead in Iraq?
Answer: The Hashemites, the legitimate leaders/rulers of Arabia Deserta. Reference T. E. Lawrence’s views on this, in which I concur:
The Hashemites themselves probably would not want to extend the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to cover Arabia Deserta, but they certainly belong at the center of moral and leadership orbits of what is emplaced in Arabia Deserta following on the Houses of Saud and Saddam Hussein. Note that in Baghdad they sustained the first great attack. Deep reason for that.
The heart of this action now is eradication of misogyny. UBL and the chaps are reacting against the decision of humanity’s collective consciousness to do that. They are fighting a rear guard. The products of some military academy must stand guard while women educate themselves and build out their skills and freedoms, especially through the vote. The success of Iraq in doing this will be a testament to the United States, but on the issue of the vote for women, even more than on the issue of their education, extreme, persistent but defeatable violence will be visited upon the theatre. GEN MacArthur said that the keys to Japan’s success were enfranchising Japanese women and establishing a democratic constitution for Japan. When Francis Xavier visited Japan he remarked that Japanese were the most European of Asian Nations in their manners and their technological skills. So there was fertile ground for SCAP in Tokyo and MacArthur and the Japanese counted on and used it.
The fertile ground in the Arab countries is, truth be told:
1- The Koran (jihad is against demonic impulses in one’s own heart, not against “others”),
2- Hashemite legal, moral, economic and political suasion and
3- the humane legal systems of liberal societies built out from the Koran in Jordan recently and Spain, Egypt, Turkey and parts of Central Asia during centuries past.
Genuine Muslim scholars would need air time and their opposition muslim clergy down time for those jewels to be recovered and put back in use beside fresh valuables coming from Asian and Euro/American nations.
I think GEN Abisaid is trying to do that or at least sees that it needs to be done. It would not surprise me if GEN Abisaid’s family tree touches the Hashemite Royal House. That he is of Lebanese ancestry would not necessarily preclude it. Certainly he has their spirit.
The Koran is not a problem. It is actually part of the solution. The muslim clergy are eisegeting it, reading into it what they want to be there, principally misogyny and war to preserve and promote misogyny. When it is exegeted, reading from it what it says, the Koran is a help.
So-called Jewish leadership seek to prevent the Koran from being heard authentically — that is, religiously, peacefully, for what it truly is — in America and other countries because they regard it as anti-Semitic. Of course Arabs are Semites. However, the overwhelming public voice of the Koran in America and other countries, by Saudi and Iranian design, is heretical eisegesis of it by Wahabists and Shiites. So the representations of Jewish leaders regarding the Koran sound true when in fact they are merely self-promoting.
So-called Christian leadership also seek to prevent the Koran from being heard authentically in America and other countries. They do this in order to extract money from followers, by declaring the Koran an evil menace against which they can protect … now pass the plate.
The Saudis failed because they calculated to be driven by the Wahabists, Islamic heretics, whom they brought from eastern Arabia to help them usurp the throne from the Hashemites, the legitimate rulers aligned with orthodox Islam.
T. E. Lawrence dealt with the Hashemites. He and the Royal Army supported them before and during the conferences following the defeat of the Ottomans. Those conferences favored the Saudis, who were aligned with the British East India Company, who were aligned with the British Foreign Office and needed coaling points along the three coasts of Arabia, especially the southern coast, where the USS Cole was attacked. The Saudis failed and are now a puss pocket because they are usurpers who used representatives of an heretical iteration of Islam to promote themselves.
On radio promoting his book (!!!) recently David Rockefeller allowed that the House of Saud will be replaced. He did not mention by whom. Rockefeller and Bush family oil interests appear to diverge. 🙂
Hashemite leadership, not necessarily rule but leadership, settles everything out.
Once Again On The Hashemites
The Hashemites are the legitimate leaders of Arabia Deserta, which includes Iraq. Legitimacy dates from Mohammed and no one doubts it, but many fight it. All their actions bespeak the point. Sauds are usurpers, via the British Foreign Office and East India Company. Lawrence is detailed on this point.
Macro view, we are living and dying today with the consequences of that usurpation, and they are bitter and deadly for the whole world.
Shiite claims on the leadership of Arabia Deserta, especially from Aryan-not-Arab Iran are simple imperialism.
The business model is death when applied to all dimensions of reality. So is any one model, including the ecclesiastical, the scientific and the economic. Reality is multi-dimensional and therefore multi-model-ed.
The world is ruined by banal, self-important ignorami asserting unconditionality for what is finite.
