In classical Christian accounting, there are seven virtues, four cardinal, meaning natural, known to all, and three theological, meaning revealed, known to the called and confirmed.  The four cardinal virtues are Prudence, Justice, Fortitude, and Temperance.  The three theological virtues are Faith, Hope, and Charity.

My first — and just about only — non-self-published work appeared in Radical Software, Vol. I No. 5, Spring 1972, under title Attitudes Toward Technology:

It occurs to me that a correlation exists between the seven virtues and technologies most vital to civilization.  To wit:

Update 1: Of the basic technologies that support culture, what is social media/tech?  I propose it is a species of armament primarily and of transportation secondarily.  After all, ARPA/DARPA threw its foundation into existence then threw that to Ivies/academe and then commercial interests when they created a better — and then one or two better betters, to which they admit — for themselves.  The WWW is cast-off armaments tech now weaponized by commercial claimants.
