A Homily for Lucifers

Life is a seeing.  This is the Father.  Religion is a living to see.  This is the Christ.  Love is the Light we live to see by.  This is the Holy Spirit.

Light is the universal substance and the candle is the universal symbol — and presence — of Light.  Fire is always burning somewhere, somehow.  Every religion uses the candle to indicate this most auspicious reality, which is Light.  You are that Light.

You bear that Light.  You enable humanity to see the Gospel, which is Light, and so to read the Gospel, being enthralled by its effulgence and suffused with its grandeur

Light the Light of Love in your heart.  Let it radiate Light as a candle cheers and encourages all who see it.  Be for every being a source of God and an evidence of His Good News, that He is always present in every heart to save each and all with perfect might, from and for that sanctuary.

Embodiments of Divine Love!  You are the Light of the World.  Let your Light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify the bounty of your Father, who is the Light installed in every heart.  And so, bear up the torch.
