Facing The Wicked

The wicked are as pleased when we oppose them — e.g., Clinton — as when we support them, if not even more so. For, there is more committment in opposition than there is in assent.  Assent requires a positive — difficult — while opposition requires only dissent — easy. This is why we hear more cynical remarks in the public arenas than we do faith-ful ones. The wicked thrive on this phenomenon, lusting for opponents. Newsmedia and other entertainment venues rise on the phenomenon. The only thing the wicked fear is being ignored. The good uphold and foster the wicked by opposing them — unless they can terminate them, in which case opposition is appropriate. But if one cannot teminate the wicked, one could leave them to their fate, which is given.
