What I Learned At The Union Theological Seminary

RAMANAM
In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti.  Amen

Countrymen,

ORBIS NON SUFFICIT
SOLUS DEUS SUFFICIT

I learned five things at the Union Theological Seminary, one from each of five professors. They are:

From James Sanders I learned the essential message of the Prophets … that the Giver, not the gift, is desirable.

From Samuel Terrien I learned that the Solomonic Cult was a Sun Cult.

From Professor Martin I learned that the Fourth Gospel is written deliberately in two realms which proceed simultaneously, one being obvious and the other one being … well … recondite.

From Cyril Richardson I learned that Christianity became the religion of the Roman Empire because Christians were of superior morality.

From Paul Lehmann I learned that John Calvin was a non-dualist.

Each of these things I learned at Union has been determinative of my career and I hereby express my humble and profound thanks to the professors who taught them me.

Self-serving is self-destructive.
