Chaitanya Jyothi Museum Opening, 2000
RAMANAM
In the Name of The Father, and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit, Amen.
Countrymen,
ORBIS NON SUFFICIT
SOLUS DEUS SUFFICIT
I am struck by the difference in music played by the host countries during their respective formal welcomes to POTUS and FLOTUS Trump. Koreans play their music. Chinese play Euro-American music. Same with the costumes/uniforms, and for the Koreans, historical military uniforms reflecting their past as an imperial power.
One might note that Koreans are more comfortable in their own skin than Chinese are.
You know, the countries in the American West (Asia) GOA MacArthur’s hand touched have thrived peaceably and without threatening hegemonic aggression. Think Japan, Korea, Philippines, Taiwan. The more that hand was felt, the longer it lingered on a land, the more beauty of prestige it spread there. Beauty, as St. Augustine said, is the radiance of truth. The Great Ones deliver the Power of God as the flute delivers the spirit of its player.
Philippians 2:12-13: Wherefore, my dearly beloved, (as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but much more now in my absence,) with fear and trembling work out your salvation. For it is God who worketh in you, both to will and to accomplish, according to his good will.
