I suggest the concept of bracketing trouble-makers/hegemons (China, Iran, NORK, Salafis) with the geo-strategic weight of fresh arrays of significant allies.  The allies are those under threat who can be made to own their complicity in generating and maintaining the threat they face.  If they will not own their self-endangerment, they cannot be allies.  Not even friends.

In MENA, for example, bracket Iran/Afghanistan/Pakistan/China with alliance between USA, Russia, India, Israel, Saud, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, and Morocco.

In Europe, bracket EU/Turkey with alliance between USA, Russia, Poland, Spain, Romania, Hungary, and other [Christian] nations of the Intermarium.

In the American west — aka Asia — bracket China/NORK with alliance between USA, Russia, India, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, Philippines, and even Egypt, who straddles vital comms.

I said some weeks ago that the hammer would drop on Iran before it drops on NORK.

I think we may be seeing the outlines of a concept of bracketing trouble-makers/hegemons (China, Iran, NORK, Salafis) with the geo-strategic weight of significant alliances.

And the bracketing includes the lure of self-generated economic development in comparison to the threat of destructive action or, worse, the enslaving promise of economic development (CIA/USAID/ChiComs).  Brilliant!  US foreign/military policy establishment never saw the opportunity of other nations’ self-generated economic development, is livid over its emergence.  Proves they never were for USA sovereign freedom, just endless manipulation of others’ destiny, which, effectively, was others’ destruction.  ChiCom following that exact game plan now, as recently noted in re Mombasa.

And US foreign/military policy establishment cannot understand, so ignore, that nations use UN and any other forum available to oppose US foreign/military policy establishment dogma.

POTUS likes to put himself away from the place where action has been planned to occur.  Did this earlier with a missile launch at Syria, during supper with Xi.  Sends messages of prestige, a 3-to-1 battle asset, to challengers.

I think catalysts are coming together, to include young Saud not wanting to waste his life supporting Salafi Jihad, as do his forebears, and also facing the fact that his whole show is under threat of the pathological Salafi-Shiite Jihad his forebears produced.

Completely new calculus around the world with POTUS Trump.  Minds spinning on the Left-Jihad Combination, opportunities opening for normal-thinking persons across the expanse of influence.

Update 9: The longer this goes, the more solid becomes my assessment that top IC professionals are intellectual nincompoops as well as moral dissolutes. Now it no longer surprises me that 9/11 got through to happen, that IC justified Iraq invasion by Saddam’s WMD rather than by the more pungent fact that he, although not the only one, was behind 90’s and 01’s attack on WTC and also 01’s Anthrax distro, which was the 2 of the WTC/Anthrax textbook mil operation 1-2 punch.

Since POTUS Reagan, and even during POTUS Reagan, USG has attracted a huge and increasing number of credentialed low life, in character and impulses effectively trailer trash.

Time to pull way back in both domestic and overseas involvements and regroup on lines of defense and commo we can actually maintain rather than extruding lines of defense and commo which get whacked because there are not enough normal — intelligent, moral — countrymen available to operate them.

With an indescribably stupid yet bumptious — say rather, dis-eased — credentialed cadre impatiently waiting to sweep away remnants of sanity from the ranks of the national stewardship, shortening front — as mil doctrine would put it — is not only desirable but mandatory.
