RAMANAM
In the Name of The Father, and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit, Amen.
Countrymen,
ORBIS NON SUFFICIT
SOLUS DEUS SUFFICIT
A tomb now suffices him for whom the whole world was not sufficient.
Humans experience something animals do not: shame and embarrassment. Genesis portrays that experience as a punishment attending the aetiology of Sin, an ontological condition as compared with sin, a moral lapse or mistake.
For I dipt into the future, far as human eye could see,
Saw the Vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heaven fill with commerce, argosies of magic sails,
Pilots of the purple twilight dropping down with costly bales;
Heard the heavens fill with shouting, and there rain’d a ghastly dew
From the nations’ airy navies grappling in the central blue;
— Alfred, Lord Tennyson (1809-1892)
Great poetry is great beauty. We wither and die. Words well-made neither do. And the Word was made flesh …. and dwelt beauteously among us, sometimes even as clickbait.
