In the Name of The Father, and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit, Amen.

Countrymen,

ORBIS NON SUFFICIT
SOLUS DEUS SUFFICIT

To: US Senior Executive Department Officers — Combatant Commanders, Ambassadors, their immediate subordinates and their associated kinetic, strategic, intelligence, training and logistics supports — in the grades of O-10, O-9 and GS and NF equivalents in the Departments of State, Treasury, Defense, Homeland Security and Justice and the Central Intelligence Agency

From: POTUS Donald J. Trump

Date: Yesterday

Prepare for your Department/Agency Secretary/Director and my personal consideration your personal answers to the following questions.  Your staffs, of course, are at your service.  However, I want the answers your Department/Agency Secretary/Director and I receive to be personally yours after all staff input has occurred.  The questions are:

1- Of what must USA grand national strategic objective consist in order to conform to the Trinity Doctrine of Carl von Clausewitz?

2- Can you build a long-term allegiance alliance between sovereign nation states India, USA and Russia to quieten MENA and stand down Chinese and North Korean belligerence, on the one hand, and fairly regulate globe-wide commercial dynamism, on the other?

3- What must you do to ensure that our three assets of statecraft — diplomacy, finance, war-fighting — converge to the same objective?

4- Assuming USA united kinetics in diplomacy, finance and war-fighting, what are the most decisive and the least costly — to us and to them — actions you can take to unravel the following four conundrums:

a- the Salafist clerical bench, to include in Indonesia;

b- the Shi’ite clerical bench, to include in Latin America;

c- the Communist Party of China, to include in Africa, and

d- the Worker’s Party of Korea, to include in Pakistan?

5- Can you achieve and/or protect USA national security, and can you accept and/or secure USA national sovereignty?

Finally, consider, please, this 14 December 2016 speech by Newt Gingrich (also here) at the National Defense University as backgrounder for your answers to the foregoing questions.

Update 1: Walter Russell Mead: The Great Unraveling

European policy on Russia is beginning to crumble as the French presidential candidates step away from sanctions. . . .

In post-[The Fraud] world, Germany could end up being isolated on Russia.  The harshest, most effective attack on the Russia sanctions comes courtesy of Fillon, who said that it is not so much an actual policy intending to change Russian behavior as a symbolic gesture.  Put even less diplomatically, it is a sham—a fake policy that allows Westerners to feel better about themselves while doing nothing serious about Russia’s attack on the post-1990 settlement in Eastern Europe.

This is a bigger deal than it may look.  The past 25 years of world politics have rested on a series of polite fictions, agreed-upon conventions and hypocritical pretenses: That we had a policy to end the North Korean nuclear drive (ditto for Iran); That Europe was becoming a great post-historical power based on the mighty engine of the euro; That the two-state solution was just a settlement freeze away; That international institutions and civil society were replacing national governments at the center of world politics; That immigration was a no-brainer; That the progress toward free trade was inexorable; That democracy was irresistibly on the march; and so on.  Americans and Europeans believed that the world would look more and more like we wanted it to without us doing any heavy lifting.

Those are all very comforting ideas, but sadly none of them are true.  In the next few years we are going to have to face some less pleasant choices based on hard truths rather than comfy illusions.

Update 2: Normal people see things.  Lefties have visions.

And it’s privileged lefties who have those visions.  Like Alan Seeger, Pete’s and Mike’s uncle.  When applied in life, those visions conjure contraction then whingeing.

I think it is wiser to see than to have visions.  The Prophet Elijah had a seeing sort of way of attending to visionaries.

Update 3: So here’s the modest proposal: If the government cannot fire these people, then it can assign them to other tasks in other places. By fortuitous coincidence, the recent several years have seen downsizing in two sectors known for having very large buildings, many of them located in remote and out-of-the-way areas. Those two sectors are manufacturing and retail. Places like rural Ohio, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Arkansas, and upstate New York — not to mention northern Maine, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and even Alaska — are littered with abandoned K-Marts, JC Penney’s and Sears stores, as well as abandoned factories of all sorts. These buildings can be leased for a song. Hundreds of federal employees can be assigned to each such location.

Send each such employee a memo: “Starting Monday morning at 9 AM, your job will be located at the former Sears Hometown store, 2308 11th Avenue West, Williston, North Dakota. If you report for work, you will await such assignments as may be given to you at that location. If you do not show up, your pay will be continued until your unused vacation and sick leave are exhausted, and then your pay will stop.”

Inside the former Sears or K-Mart, there can be row upon row of hundreds of desks and chairs. But I highly recommend that these employees not be provided with any computer or cell phone at taxpayer expense. Why waste the money? They can communicate with headquarters in Washington by U.S. mail. It’s not like they are doing anything productive.

Update 12: The Question Of Campaign 2016: Where Have All The Fascists Gone?

Update 13: The notion that refugees and immigrants should be admitted to a sovereign nation without caveat or demurrer is conjured by two essentials of Liberation Theology, itself a successful KGB subversion operation: precarity and what lately is called weaponized empathy (classically: scrupulosity).  Both are perversions of Christian doctrine (aka experience) with the end in view of disabling Christian civilization by eliminating citizens’ ability to tell truth from fiction and thereby defend themselves.  Moslems, Salafist and Shiite, have taken advantage of the KGB’s success removing from so many Europeans and Americans their ability to discern what is in their interest.  Socialists have gone insane from self-induced terror upon learning that more than a few Europeans and Americans retain the ability to think clearly enough to defend themselves.  The answer, as always, is hearty laughter.

Update 14: Well, the Pandava brothers made a huge mistake in betting — and losing — their wife Droupadi (polyandry legitimate then) on a rigged game of chance with the Kaurava brothers to win back the kingdom the Kauravas had usurped from them.  Still, Krishna sided with them when the war came because, as He said, paraphrasing, It comes down to who is right and who is wrong.  Yes, the Pandava brothers should not have bet Droupadi, their wife.  That was a big and costly mistake.  Moreover, they should not have agreed to play a rigged game. They were stupid and are paying and will pay dearly for that.  But the big question here is who is rightful heir to the throne, Pandavas or Kauravas, and the answer to that is: Pandavas.  Therefore, I will fight on the Pandava side, because, even though Pandavas and Kauravas are of the same family, they are not of the same legal right in respect to the throne.  The Kauravas are usurpers and cheats in that respect.  The Kauravas are wrong and the Pandavas are right.  I fight for the Pandavas, for what is right [Dharma].

To the same Power Line post by Paul Mirengoff, Don Sucher commented:

Trump’s “tweets” work because the cut through the clutter and come so fast that The Machine cannot deal with them.

Analyzing those tweets as if they are either legal documents or a thesis paper misses their purpose, and with it very reason for their — and Trump’s — success.

Trump and those tweets are as “silly” as that rag-tag bunch of colonials who foolishly thought that dragging a few heavy cannons up onto Breed’s Hill would frighten the British and drive them out of Boston Harbor.

And to the same Power Line post by Paul Mirengoff, Paul Bahlin commented:

Are you kidding?  Nice lawyerly parse job.

Every deplorable reading that tweet knows, full well, the irony Trump is alluding to.

News flash Paul!  Tweets aren’t briefs.  They do seem to twist yours though.
