I knew instantly, from the headline at Instapundit, to which seminary she was going.  It could be only one.

For decades, the churches have taken the Gospel as play dough to be shaped to taste/felt need.  The felt need always is Socialism/Collectivism — for promoting either weaponized empathy (so-called liberals/progressives) or puritanical legalism (so-called conservatives/evangelicals).  Either way, the outcome is aggressive messianic collectivism.  The cause is taking the Gospel as play dough.  Abelard, Erasmus, Marx, Lenin, Horkheimer, Adorno, Habermas, Arendt, Marcuse, Fromm, Gramsci, Gide, Foucalt, and Derrida — not Jesus the Christ — are driving the churches these past decades.  Between the churches and humanist psycho-babble there is today no daylight.  In the Latin Church, Antioch has driven out Nicaea, Talmud Augustine.

Yet, the Gospel is there and here.  Funny thing, freedom.  It is primal, not doughy.  The Church is safe and strong.
