A Repeated Phenomenon

RAMANAM
In the Name of The Father, and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit, Amen.

Countrymen,

Bad things happen because problem solvers’ attention to a genuine and simple problem that begs real solution is allowed, by the same problem solvers, to be deflected and deformed by hell-raisers self-appointed or incited to the purpose.  The problem, always simple, goes unsolved and grows worse.

Following up on chaos induced by the power of hell-raisers and the unsteadiness of problem solvers, communist-style collectivists insinuate themselves and their myrmidons into the general decision-making loop (OODA), eventually dominating it by blandishment and menace.  And quickly they eliminate their hell-raisers’ leadership.

But communist-style collectivists, because of the straightjacket that is their ideology, are unable to solve the original genuine and simple problem – or any other.  Whereupon, fascist-style collectivists, more ruthless even than communist-style ones, send in their hell-raisers to make more and deeper chaos as battle-space preparation for their own rampancy.  Which succeeds because fascism fascinates more even than communism.  (Fascism is a new religion, communism merely heresy of an old one.)  And quickly they eliminate their hell-raisers’ leadership.

In this way, the outcome of a simple problem needing solution is fascist totalitarianism.  Problem denied.  Solution irrelevant.  Politicians and crony industrialists triumphant over citizens and bureaucrats.

Examples of this phenomenon seems countless in number.  A river is polluted.  Citizens, bureaucrats and industrialists resolve to clean it and start in.  Hell-raisers appear, hurling epithets and ultimatums.  Communists promise to gratify citizens and bureaucrats when acceded to power positions.  When they do, the original problem galls the more.  Hell-raisers appear, condemning the feeble, self-serving non-accomplishment of communists.  Fascists promise to solve the original, simple problem when acceded to power positions.  When they do, hell-raisers not of their leadership cadre (who are eliminated) are tasked with operating prisons and extirpating non-conformists.  Original problem still unsolved while total secrecy/surveillance/security state terrifies many or most into silence and submission.

Is this repeated phenomenon preventable?  It is.  Strike at its root.  When going to solve a genuine, simple problem, stay focused on doing just that and just do it.  Simply solving the simple problem, whatever it is, prevents the communist/fascist/hell-raiser suicide flight from becoming airborne.

Medical costs artificially high, access to physicians unreliable?  By personal action and legislation, avoid and eliminate the middle-man: government and insurance companies.

Education ideological, artificially costly?  By personal action and legislation, avoid and eliminate the middle-man: government, public and private faculties and compulsory taxation and attendance.  An ideological education – that is, an indoctrination – is an establishment of religion.

Communist and fascist collectivists are not the power they pretend to be.  Were they, they would not require hell-raisers.  Keep the consciousness bound to truth.  Be of one mind, hard as diamond, when solving a problem.  Be of one heart, soft as melted butter, when yearning for liberation.  Let the hands be skillful in all manner of constructive endeavor, especially agriculture and communication.

Update 1: We do not allow state-sponsored religion.  In the same way and for the same reason, we should not allow state-sponsored education.

Update 2: Paul A. Rahe: … the inexorable growth of the administrative regulatory, welfare state is itself a threat to our capacity to govern ourselves.

Update 3: How about a RICO suit at Tom Steyer?

Update 4: Thomas J. DiLorenzo: Economic Fascism (also here)

It’s called fascism and that is what it should be called, over, over and over, to its face and from the rooftops.
