From: The Rev. David R.  Graham

Subject: Jesus In India

Within five years, awareness of this matter is going to overwhelm the church and reduce it to a laughingstock, more than already it is.  The church will be defenseless against a charge of massive fraud.

The leadership even won’t take the charge seriously.  They will seek to regenerate what they regard as their successful track record stone-walling the work of Reimarus in the Eighteenth Century and Schweitzer in this — never mind the inexorable, steady decline of income and respect that stone-walling engendered.

As the fraud is revealed, the perpetrator will be abandoned.

Whereas the work of Reimarus and Schweitzer decoupled the church from culture — they demonstrated that a commitment to facts was not the guiding principle for the collection and emendation of literature that became known as The New Testament.  — the present work — to locate Jesus in India — will decouple religion from the church.

In addition, within 25 years, this work will decouple the church from secular, parochial clergy.  Clergy will have to earn a living at a regular occupation (Pauline model) and they will have to be spiritually-oriented — oppositely of their present “orientation.”

This development will profoundly impact existing lines of communication into the laity’s purse.

Note that one of the sources of this awakening is Celtic Christianity, represented by LindisfarneSirius CommunityFindhornBarbara Thiering and Margaret Starbird.

Another effect of this work will be a church without kerygma (preaching).  Or, more exactly, a church in process of re-collating and even re-creating its kerygma.  This means a church without a Mass as we know it.  The generations coming along are now and will continue not supporting the church built by this generation and its forebears.

Christianity is repetition of the Name of Jesus, which is a Name of God.  This insight is the truth for which the Knights Templar were calumniated.  Jesus is for all mankind as they are, not for Christians.  The religion he taught and exemplified is universal, non-denominational and utterly self-evident to whom God chooses to reveal it, and when.
