Countrymen,

In order to protect the women of Iran, we, Citizens of the United States, demand that the Commander-in-Chief, United States Armed Forces, immediately order joint, full-spectrum military operations against the Iranian regime with the mission to:

1. Kill the IRGC and its Basiji militia;
2. Remove & Replace the Iranian political cadre and hang those who have committed crimes against humanity;
3. Hang the Iranian mullahs and ayatollahs unless they have publicly condemned the Iranian political cadre and accept disestablishment and dispossession;
4. Assign the lands and all other possessions of mullahs and ayatollahs to lay people who will apply them to pacific pursuits, especially providing water and trees to the citizens of Iran;
5. Raise up an indigenous, self-organizing Iranian political structure that is not based on Koran or Koranic scholarship, and then depart.

We further demand that C-i-C, US Armed Forces, immediately invite and coordinate the participation of US allies in these operations and without reference to the United Nations.  This job has to start now and cannot await dithering and dissembling through “international discussions” by its target.

We further demand that C-i-C, US Armed Forces, commit the entire population and resources of the United States to support these operations through to their full and successful completion: unconditional surrender by the Iranian regime.

We demand, finally, that these operations to protect the women of Iran commence with the utmost celerity, recognizing that no engagement is entered with the learning or assets that subsequent prosecution of that engagement generate.  This job starts now.  Therefore these demands.

Update 17: It would be possible and fairly easy to refute Trita Parsi on his own thesis that ME is about strategic matters rather than ideological ones.  He wants to insinuate that the mullah’s strategic interests are misunderstood, benign, and do not conflict with USA’s (… Iran’s continued difficulties in translating its strength to regional acceptance … is a gorgeous dissembling).

Had USA a grand national strategic goal matched to her actual interests in the ME, Parsi’s thesis could be taken apart point-by-point.

But USA has no grand national strategic goal matched to her actual interests anywhere in MENA.  The nearest such is POTUS Trump’s aversion to endless wars around the planet.  But that is not a grand national strategic goal, much less one that comprehensively reflects actual USA interests.

The last strategic statement POTUS Trump’s administration produced was Mattis/Tillerson/USA foreign policy establishment (aka massed morons) boilerplate dating to the 1940s.  Worse than worthless.  With friends like the USA foreign policy establishment, who needs enemies?

The needed work actually has been done, however, even circulated, just not discussed.
