Professor Jacobson at Legal Insurrection posts today a poll asking who is The Smart Autocrat‘s™ most poisonous relationship, Jeremiah Wright or Al Sharpton.  The comments are interesting, especially, as usual, by Henry Hawkins.  My comment follows:

I go with “neither of the above” and write in his mother and Rashid Khalidi and Edward Saied as the choices.   Then I vote for his mother.

Lee would say to an errant lad at Washington College, “You would not want me to think badly of your mother, would you?”  In those days, that was usually enough to straighten up the errant youth.  I aspire to be numbered among the most up-to-date minds of the 19th Century.
