Russia reunites with Crimea, at least.  Why not USA unite with Mexico?

Partition Mexico into five or so States by history and geography, by fairness in representation — or, simply accept the current States of Mexico — and admit these into the United States as the 51st, etc. States of the USA, just like the current others.

Many benefits for USA and “Mexico” and would be popular, and seen as reasonable, with current “Mexican” nationals and US citizens.

Make us all USA Americans, under USA law and structures of representation.

This looks like a move towards centralization, but would it be really?  Certainly it would be a move towards diversification.  Meld the military forces and the police forces.  The Mexican States would be strong supporters of the 10th Amendment to the USA Constitution.  United opposition to drug trafficking could obtain.  Might be done diplomatically alone.  Would increase pressure against abortion and queering.  And against domineering central bureaucracy.  Anti-corruption would needs be a focus, but that is perhaps now not so much different in the USA than in Mexico.  Both need a good cleanse.

It is a thought, anyway, at this time of thinking fresh and washed.  Mexico is Spanish, not “hispanic,” Spanish.  Like the USA, she is a New World form of an Old World religion and a New World substance of an Old World culture.

Update 2: The NYT sneers hopefully for The End Of The Anglo-American Order [Anglosphere].  They mean they hope for the end of Christianity.

Update 3: The frame-of-reference embodied in this concept is what I have in mind for driving Three Brothers Doctrine: Make Mexico Great Again.  With luck, the Trump Administration will drive in this frame-of-reference dealing with Russia and India.
