Something is afoot in MENA, a new alignment is forming,
comprising Israel, Saud, Egypt and Jordan,
that I can see so far.
Not sure how it builds out,
but I think the Muslim Brotherhood and
Salafism in general are going to be overtaken by
a perfect storm,
even in Saud, where Salafism started.
There is no reason in culture, statecraft, morality or religion why the liberal democratic nations must stand aside to let their lines of communication in the Middle East be seized by people who have sworn to annihilate them.
On the contrary, decisive reasons exist in culture, statecraft, morality and religion for the liberal democratic nations to uproot from their lands individuals, groups and governments who threaten them, to decimate the same and to distribute the lands they oppressed to people with authority to start and augment therein liberal democratic cultural, state, moral and religious structures.
Afghanistan and Iraq are power projection platforms for the liberal democratic nations, including locally Israel and Jordan, to cause and maintain the peaceful, productive participation of the entire Middle East in the community of nations.
During the period from the usurpation of the Hashemite Throne of Arabia to the present day — that is, for the last 100 years — Arab and Arab Persian thugs have resuscitated and aggressively expanded the reach and operational capacity of the pre-Muslim Assassin Cults of the Middle East and called them Islam. Although Western historians tend to interpret Assassins as violent proponents of iterations of Islam, Assassin Cults were gangs of violent extortionists. Thugs. Tribal and other customs are not religion. Thugs would have us believe they are. To hell with them.
They are today gangs of violent extortionists, united in gaily shaking down non-friendly governments and business corporations, nations and individuals. Thugs. Addtionally, they are unprejudiced with respect to their targets, exemplary equal-opportunity citizens of the underworld, poster children of political correctness for nefarious powers. They go by many names but always the same: violent extortionists.
