BLUF: Americans need and can form Civil Defense Battalions attached to their municipal and county law enforcement agencies. This is not a new idea. It has been done before, and successfully.

The remit of earlier civil defense activity was narrower than that now required. Then the enemy was mostly external, his center of mass at a distance from the American homeland, although he fostered extensive subversion and espionage operations inside the American homeland.

Now the enemy is fully organized and deployed inside the American homeland. His center of mass is the American Heartland. And he controls a multi-form, multi-loyal array of fighting forces inside and outside of governments.

Civilian elements of federal and not a few state and local governments are enemies of the interests of Americans and America. And Americans know that they are. In addition, tens to hundreds of thousands of civilian residents of America not only lack loyalty to America, they actively or passively prepare to transform America into, for some, a region of global caliphate or, for others, a region of hegemonic criminal commerce, belonging to them, of course. Chinese imperialism is one hegemonic criminal commercial activity inside America. Drug cartels are another. The enemy of America — comprising civilian government and two kinds of civilian resident — is heavily armed and more or less regimented as three fighting forces, visible or invisible.

The enemy of America operates — against America’s and Americans’ interests — a line comprising three formations:

civilian elements of government, academe, big law, big media, big church, big hustle
caliphists
criminal commerce

Americans are crying for protection, for help (also here). Their own civilian public servants are pounding Americans into misery while willfully enabling anti-American fighting forces outside government also to pound Americans.

This is the problem.

The irony of centralization is that its management requires decentralization. Big-government (centralization) advocates — Socialists, Caliphists, Crony Capitalists — cannot understand this fact and reject it in high emotion. In fact, however, life is a mixture, equal parts autonomous and heteronomous force. If either gains an upper hand on the other, life goes hurting or extinct. Big-government advocates want unmixed heteronomous force, in their hands, of course. No-government (decentralization) advocates today, as always, are few, rarely taken seriously, and, most often, unconfessed big-government advocates.

So the problem to be addressed — the enemy of Americans and life — is big-government advocates: the thirst for rampant centralization.

The solution is inside the problem itself. Centralization demands decentralization for direction while decentralization demands centralization for effectiveness. And in fact, for there to be peace, those forces must comprise a mixture of equal parts.

This is an old wisdom, thoroughly explored by the American Founders and presciently and preciously concretized by them as the Constitution of the United States.

Decentralization is the force du jour facing the enemy(s) pounding America. That means Civil Defense Battalions, one at least per local law enforcement agency and, in cities, one at least per police precinct. Force starts as physics, where, also, it ends. God is power, although power is not God.

What should be the remit of the new American Civil Defense Battalions? Wider than the old one, surely, because the enemy is larger and differently arrayed than before. The enemy itself is not really different, however. Caliphism has been at war with Latin Civilization — and every other — for beyond a thousand years. Fascism and Communism, in their larval form, have been inside Latin Civilization, gnawing it, since the 11th Century at least. One could trace the embryo of Fascism and Communism to — to paraphrase a pederast — that quaint Levantine tutti-frutti known as Gnosticism. Criminal commerce — including drug-making and-selling — dates at least from the days of the Priests of Baal and their nemesis, Elijah of God.

The day is coming — and really is upon us — when we shall be grateful for the militarization of US police forces. More is needed even, as well as related emergency response capabilities, in the form of Civil Defense Battalions.

The caliphist formation of the enemy’s line — just inside America! — numbers probably the equivalent of at least two full-strength divisions (30K fighters), spread across the country, based in every mosque, of combat-willing if not combat-armed and-trained fighters. The enemy’s formation in US federal, state and local governments, Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, Dartmouth, Wellesley, Big Media/Entertainment, Big Law, Big Church, Big Hustle, etc., although not all bearing firearms, comprise the equivalent of many divisions of fighters and especially the cadres who command and control all three formations of the enemy’s line. It should be assumed that criminal commerce — drug cartels, crony capitalists and Chinese, together comprising the third element of the enemy’s line — operating on American soil is more stacked with armed fighters than caliphists even.

Against that array, American law enforcement needs reinforcement, militarization and para-militarization. American military, active, resigned and retired, will be with them when the time comes.
